I don't think Pop will want him. History suggest that Pop likes guys who plays well againts the Spurs. I think the Spurs are fine at perimeter anyways. Bowen and Manu is gonna play their usual 30 minutes. Udoka is definitely deserving of some minutes and I personally feel Barry in limited minutes and a backup role is just fine.

The Spurs' biggest need IMO was their lack of athleticism. That couldn't be more true this year. I'm rooting for Desagana Diop even if they have to offer him the full MLE. He's a good rebounder with good shotblocking skills. Athletic, and extremely huge.

Tony will have an easier time throwing alleyoops to Diop than any other player on this team.

Artest may well opt out now... we are the best spot for him.

BTW, JR Smith played well against us in the 2nd game at SA, and maybe at the game in Denver, too. (80-77 loss)

I'd love to get Diop, but don't quite think we will... I think Kwame/Dwayne Jones are more realistic options.
