You mean we couldn't even draft a guy that started after playing 4 years.

Manu doesnt start and he is one of the better players in the league. I think the only thing that matters is who finishes the game.

Yeah, I was like "Please slip, Bayless!" But the F***in Pacers, selected him. I thrown a tantrum around my room. Not a pretty sight. And I was also pissed that they GAVE away Bayless to Portland. Rush and Jack? *shakes head*

That's his game, he is comfortable to play off the bench for Georgetown. His energy and athleticism is ideal for the the Hoya's game.

Yeah, they have arguably the best GM in the NBA, KP. God, that Blazers team will be great.

I'm just kind of curious about what we offered and couldn't get for that pick. My suspicion is that Indiana wanted a backup PG in return, and we didn't have one to give. But yeah, what crappy value.

Here is another reality check. The picks above us still really played out like they were expected. All the PG's were gone, Randolph slipped, and we still picked Thompson. That tells me the Kings expected to pick Thompson all along.

I think what makes him so great is that he is willing to work hard to find the right deal and is not affraid to make it either.

Yeah, that makes him great. He is willing to put the hard work down. He is the most active GM during Draft week.

It also has a lot to do with the fact that he has an owner with endless pockets--there's a reason that Portland is the only team that consistently buys 1st rounders.

Also, they just lucked the hell out with Oden, but still, yes he is very good at what he does.

Come on, He could've easily started and probably should've started but he helped the team the best with his energy coming off the bench. Which means that he has no ego and is a team player. I can tell you now he can guard out on the perimeter and probably blocks shots better than any big man we have right now.

If he makes the team he really helps this team defensively and athletically.

I think it was Ballings who wanted a SF that was really the total opposite of Martin. A defender, well Ewing is that and with his hustle and the ability to make open jumpers which he was able to do at G-town. He hit some big shots for G-town.

I really think if he is able to enhance some of his skills he can be a great role player for this team. The type of guy that can get big put backs when needed, hit a big shot when needed, guard the best perimeter player, block many shots, collect many boards and will not complain one iota.

I think it's an excellent pick and if the Kings are really going to go back to the Princeton. He knows the offense and I think it's no doubt he makes the team.

Whoa! A rumored deal between Minny/Mem (Basic principles):

Mayo/Jaric/Walker/Buckner For Love/Miller/Cardinal/Collins

Also, I don't know who said it, but there is a part of me that thinks that maybe it was a way to get Ewing here as our big man coach. At least I think it's not a crazy thought.

That would be cool.....but I would really like to see Webb work with JT since I think that was what Petrie was trying to do. To get somone as close to Webb as possible.

I llike this kid and I think I like the duo of JT/Hawes even better. Without seeing them play yet I really think they are going to mesh in a special way. And with Shelfon backing them up, Petrie has really put together some nice young studs in the frontcourt.
