Yeah, I would have been upset, but then he got Bill Walker. I like this euro, keep him overseas.

Smart. No room on the roster right now, so let him develop for a bit overseas.

I'm happy with the draft. Good work by Danny and the owners, they have my stamp of approval this time. :-)

From ESPN.com's scouting report:

Negatives: Very inconsistent. Has a rep in Europe of not being a hard worker. Can disappear on both ends of the floor.

A ringing endorsement.

Doesn't matter. This is a pure potential pick. we have no room for another rookie so going international was the right choice. Zero risk, some potential reward.

I guess that's the kind of guy you take with the last pick; someone who has the physical tools, and could conceivably get his stuff together down the line, but if he doesn't, oh well.

I am predicting we will have a ton more threads on this guy then Ben Pepper. And Ben Pepper had a lot of threads.

And I was probably negative in all of em. ;)

But not this one!! I love the pick. 60th wasn't going to be a real player. Well maybe forbes or nelson, but Stash him overseas and hopefully he becomes a product. Good job ainge!

I bet Danny sent the brain doc over to that Euro camp and took the 7 footer with the best brain type.

One more question on this guy. Does he come over for the jersey presentation/press conference? Probably not right?

Celtics have never had luck with international players but I'm glad we took him because we won't have to pay him for years if ever. Maybe Danny will use his rights as a "chip" in the future....

I dont know if Turkey has qualified in the Olympics but between he and Omer Asik they might have enough talent. Would be cool to see him do well there.

We once had luck with an international player once with Dino Radja. He was a second rounder. We didn't have him until three or four years later. I hope Erden is better than Scott Pollard which is good enough for me.
