Mayo, Marko Jaric, Antoine Walker and Greg Buckner to the Grizzlies in return for the draft rights to Kevin Love, Mike Miller, Brian Cardinal and Jason Collins.

I don't get this deal at all. You guys got the pf you so desperately needed and then proceed to tade him plus your best player. This is a head scratcher.

I guess the Grizzlies feel that a frontcourt of Warrick/Arthur at the 4 with Milicic/Gasol at the 5 is good enough to trade for a guy like Mayo.

LOL I looked at your comment about the Grizzlies best player being traded and it took me awhile to realize it was Mike Miller you were talking about

To all Grizz fans, I am happy for you guys on getting Mayo. Will be rooting for you all as my lil' 2nd team. Anyways, though the Grizz now have a real big problem at the PF/C positions, it's just the beginning of the summer, so kick back and think of a Conley/Mayo/Gay line-up at the PG/SG/SF positions.

WOW I hate to see Miller go in that trade... :-?

I wanted the Grizz to get Mayo at 5 but the price they paid is pretty steep. I like his potential over Love's though, and a Gay/Mayo combo is pretty lethal.

The real steal in this trade is 'Toine though!

'Toine is a sleeper in this deal, though don't think he would like playing in a young system, don't think he did with the Wolves either. Hope the Grizz somehow move a guard or 2 now to try and get a center.

PGs include Mayo(will play SG in Memphis though), Conley, Critt, Low, Jaric.

There isn't no getting rid of Jaric now, so Low, or Critt prob is going to get traded.

Grizz will have $48.5mil in salary. They would need to shave about 3-4mil to offer Josh Smith!

i think its cause mayo's name will sell more tickets than love will. even though love makes a ton of more sense here. and grizz also traded mike miller, probably another money saving move. horrible for memphis imo.

Center is not the problem... We need a PF now. Gasol and Milicic will be able to split the time at Center. I don't think Arthur and Warrick are going to cut it at PF.
