I guess I'll start drinking the Love kool-aid

Post#1 » by big3_8_19_21 » Fri Jun 27, 2008 6:46 am

I wish Love kool-aid was as sexy as it sounds...

time to start talking myself into thinking that Kevin Love really is a key component to our future.

Let's try to be positive in this thread...hell...it's worth a shot, what do we have to lose? OJ Mayo?

1. He's a great passer
2. He can play in the high post
3. He's got a great attitude
4. He's got a great basketball IQ
5. He's going to work hard for us
6. He's got a diverse offensive skill set

*please, self, believe all of this*

If only we could make ourselves believe lies like the media does.

I'm not as pissed as the rest of you about this who love trade.

But I'm really shocked at the Chalmers for misc useless 2nds to miami. I thought he would go way earlier, shoulda just held onto him.

I am excited to have him on the team. You all will support him once the season starts so why not start now?

As soon as KG left this team he won a ring. I hope Al isn't as dumb as KG was by sticking with this team with Mchale running this circus

It's true. Every trade we make, the OTHER team benefits, not us.

Roy is a star, Foye is "potential"
Ray Allen went off to have a great career, Marbury looks done
Cassell wanted money, he left, the CLIPPERS( !! ) made the playoffs as soon as he joined them
Mchale fired Casey, but Casey was actually a good coach.

The only thing Mchale has done was getting Blount+Ricky off this team and getting a stud in Al Jefferson.

I'll leave if you want, but that doesn't change the fact that what I said is true. This team has gotten NOWHERE with Mchale making the decisions. He had one good year getting Sam and Spree, but we've been stuck in mediocrity the majority of the time.

Today I actually thought Mchale would please the fans, all he knows how to do is be a dumbass. At least get Brook Lopez and take some defensive pressure off of Al, dammit.

I would rather you not leave. You said you were leaving. Jumping to conclusions without giving this a chance. Stay if you want, but do not be another Casey.

I really want Love to work out here, seriously, but when you get the 3rd pick in the draft and you hear all the comments about how OJ is so impressive and he's the third best player in this draft, you get attached and I guess I just let my emotions get the best of me when Mayo was going off to Memphis.

I'm not going to stop cheering for the Wolves and i'm going to continue to share my opinions on this board and to people I talk to, it'll be much more satisfying going through all of this and hopefully winning it all one day.

I will make a more formal "my thoughts" post in the morning, but I think a big part of this is we got attached to Mayo after we took him. Then the trade makes us feel bad because it is change. We cannot look objective because we started to cheer for him already. I made comments on this board and the memphis one that we were talking to them about a 3 for 5+miller deal. So the shock was not big for me. Just a thought.

nah its becasue we didnt get market value for him at all. I am fine trading to get Love actaully happy never really wanted MAyo. But you should have been able to demand alot more from memphis. As stated in other threads at least one the their pgs should have been involved.
