i would do this with last years #2 pick and give up Durant...and i would even give up #1 in 2005, 2006.....but im really that Beasley is the best player in the draft...Wade/Marion/Beasley will be a great trio right away. Dont do this Pat. Tho i wouldnt be furious if we did this..its a way better deal than the Memphis and Seattle deals

No. People on our board have mixed feelings.

I'd rather have Beasley. Take Beasley this year and sign Brand/Boozer next off-season and go from there. Move Beasley to SF and have a core of Wade-Beasley-Brand/Boozer.

Nothing mixed about my feelings, I certainly wouldn't do this. Riley is a tool if he tries to do this and I hope the coaching staff stops him like they did in 2003 when he wanted Kaman over Wade.

They only own the #4 if the TWolves take Mayo. Of course, it's likely that they will, then I doubt this trade happens.

Agreed. I'm quite happy with us landing Beasley and Chalmers while keeping Marion, Wade, and Haslem, though I do think Miami is going to make a move or two...

We heard SO many media outlets prior to the draft about this deal going to go through or this deal is going to go through, and NOTHING came to fruition. LOL

The Clippers have made it clear that they expect him to be back next season so they won't trade him especially when they don't want to rebuild. I don't think Brand is going to walk away from $17 million dollars in one season by opting out either. He's probably going to play out the last year of his contract and then either sign a lucrative extension or become a UFA next summer. Maggette, on the other hand, will be opting out on Monday.
