Now they're saying Arthur was traded with Dorsey to Houston for Batum and then from Houston to Memphis for Donte Greene. All i can say is WTF??

Ike looked good at times, but his lack of size was an issue. I'm scratching my head about our PF rotation right now. Murphy and Shawne with Shawne on thin Ice? ehhh We're gonna have to get another PF some where. Anyone think the Nuggs would take JT and Daniels for Camby? I might post it on the trade board and see what the reaction would be.

I think you'd have to include at least Shawne Williams or a future first, but even then, I don't see the point in giving potential future building blocks. Camby should go to a contender, not a rebuilding team.

I was scratching my head at No. 17 when Toronto went and picked us up Roy Hibbert. I think Darrell Arthur would be better at filling the PF spot, although you can't really argue with a big man pick.

At least, it's not Koufos. I can only imagine what this board would be like if we had traded Bayless to the rights for Koufos. It would've gotten really, really, really ugly. I like Hibbert though, I'm interested to see how he fits in an uptempo system, but he immediately gives us an inside presence and will affect games just with his sheer size.

This was my mantra all night.
As to "Jack=Ike", I strongly disagree with that. My opinion on Ike was that he'd jumped the shark last season when he couldn't get any burn with JO gone. I don't think he had a future with the team. I also don't see tons of minutes for him in Portland, either, but...
Jack would be what I consider a serviceable player. If you want a comparison from our shared experiences, I'd say Vern Fleming. He's not going to be a playmaker, but he will improve our perimeter defense and will get minutes and contribute to this team. He takes a lot of pressure off of our small PG's of Ford and Diener. He's a big guy, measuring out at 6'3.5" in shoes, 204 lbs, with a huge wingspan for his size of almost 6' 9", and a standing reach of 8' 4". No, he's not going to be a defensive stopper, but if you were wondering who we might call on to guard a Chauncey Billups for a couple of late possessions, here's our guy.
If he was going to be our starting PG, I'd have some heartburn. However, as a third guard and backup 1, I think it's a nice pickup.
Let's look at the deal this way:
2007-2008 Perimeter Defense, in order of ability: Granger, K Rush, M Daniels, A Owens, F Murray, J Tinsley, M Dunleavy, T Diener
2008-2009 Perimeter Defense, in order of ability: Granger, J Jack, TJ Ford, B Rush, M Daniels, M Dunleavy, T Diener
I think that's a nice upgrade...(No, not stoppers, but, better is better).

Well I slept on it and I feel a little less angry about the trade but I'm still not happy about it yet.
