Good luck getting him away from Tau.

Yeah, I guess my sarcasm wasn't coming through, my bad. Every year the Suns sold their pick, they tried to spin it like crazy....even when they selected Tucker last year, they made him out to be this high-scoring power wing player that was "really NBA-ready", and this year they're saying that they had Dragic rated ahead of DJ Augustin/Bayless/Chalmers on their Big Board. Kerr's already said that he envisions him as their starting PG in a couple of years.

The Spin Machine is working overtime. It's absolutely ridiculous...

They had Deandre Jordan and they just let him slip by, yes the guy was slipping but a center owuld complete them and he could be the missing pieces. Overall i just hated there draft. DJ augustin < Bayless,Weaver,Chalmers.

I don't know if this is definitely the case, but Blazers GM Kevin Pritchard did an interview post-draft and he mentioned a team that picked a player based on speculation that a team below them wanted the player. With how hard Portland was "reportedly" pushing for Augustin, it's very possible that that's why the Bobcat's took him at 9. I mean, the Bobcat's weren't even mentioned in the same sentence with Augustin until word leaked of the potential POR/NJN trade with the Blazers moving up to 10 to get Augustin. The very next day, Chad Ford mentioned in his last Mock Draft that the Bobcats could make a surprise pick and take Augustin at 9. The timing of that is just very peculiar if you ask me...

Winners: Bulls, Heat, Trails, Rockets, Nets, Grizzlies, Bucks, Raptors, maybe more... have to see later

Losers: Hornets (you needed more talent and depth), Pacers (Bayless?), Spurs (okay, but really could of and should of done a lot better with who was around), Nuggets (you really could of used getting a shooter or shooter/defender)

Over in Warrior land we are very happy. Apparently Nellie psyched the Kings into leaving Randolph for us, and we all were surprised Hendrix was there for us at #49.

no, we need a veteran as a backup at the 1, a rookie would not contribute, we basically still have a rookie in Pruitt

veterans will fill the 1 and 5 backup spots

we needed long athletic defenders at the wing positions
1.) for insurance in case Posey goes elsewhere
2.) because Tony Allen is a free agent and is still a huge question mark (even though i love him) 4 years into his career
3.) to spell Ray Allen and Paul Pierce as they continue to age

Celtics got great value where they were drafting, both are low risk high reward players, and while i wouldn't call them a winner at this point, they certainly aren't losers either

Giddens will likely see minutes right away due to his ability to defend the wing, while you might see walker go back and forth to the nbdl depending on his knee situation

i just have a question that pretty much sums up the draft...what the hell is milwaukee doing? 3 SF's in one day, two of whom are starting caliber. They aren't going anywhere why waste all that money for a guy who'll probably demand a trade half way through the season.

The Bucks obviously aren't done yet. We are still trading Mo with probably Mason or CV for a better PF, at least that's what makes sense. Also, the Bucks needed a second wing scorer, we only had Redd last year and when Michael Redd is your leading scorer you aren't going to win much. So you team up Redd and RJ on the wings and you have Sessions running the point with a good PF(hopefully) and a good Center I think that's a playoff team. Joe will play a lot off the bench, how many playoff contending teams start their rookies anyway? I'm sure we're going to make some more moves, just stay tuned.

I think the Rockets did okay. Greene has so much upside and Dorsey is a shot in the dark. I made we didn't draft a scorer or a PG.

Haha, expressed my thoughts exactly.

I also feel Milwaukee came away with a loss. They are stacking a single position. They acquired 3 SFs in one night. They didn't need Joe Alexander after getting Richard Jefferson.

What do you want them to say that they think the guy sucks, but they picked him anyway and that they expect him to do nothing.

Like: Miami and Portland obviously

Didn't like: Charlotte, Washington, or Golden State (unless they can combine the weights B. Wright and A. Randolph and get one 250lb forward).
