This is like comparing duncan and garnett.
Duncan was up the whole time but garnett just won a title to move up close to duncan.
Isiah was up the whole time but McHale has just traded OY Mayo for Kevin Love to move up closer to Isiah.
Really a preference pick. Depends on how you want your franchise ruined.

Re: Who's Worse?
idk, Ishia had limitless amount of money (sorta like PORT has right now) and somehow he used that to the full advantage to get to the point where the players quit on their own team. The NY Knicks literally would go out and play.. well no they would go out. They just didn't care anymore. It wasn't even stat padding it was a movement of mass depressioin among 15 players every game.
Mchale ensures his franchise will be nothing but bad, but they will still play. He still has a small semblence of a team. Honestly I don't want to hear him say yeah we had Mayo but we had Foye as well so it was a roster crunch. And Mchale also just ruined AL Jefferson's ability to play like an all-star by making him play Center for the next 5 years. AL is okay at defense but he can't handle being pushed around by Centers every night in and out then trying to go play post offense every possesion... god Love. I can't believe the backcourt is going to be Love,Jefferson for defense...
That said, Ishia killed the soul of the Knicks and made them lifeless winless depressed animals. His stain will be left on that franchises for years and refrenced to when comparing things to the worst you can do as a GM/coach.
Ishia wins worst of all time.

Re: Who's Worse?
Oh and btw all these comparisons of Love to Mchale are way off. McHale was an AMAZING defensive player on top of an unstopable offensive player. There was a time when he was in the running for MVP with Bird on his team. That's how good he was. If Love was Mchale part duex he would of been undisputed first pick of the draft.

This is like choosing to die with getting shot in the head or sitting in a room full of poisonous gas for 2 hours and slowly withering away. I really can't choose one.

Re: Who's Worse?
Isiah may have been a terrible GM, but he was a hell of a drafter...
McHale twice now has picked a great player up then traded them draft day (Mayo and Roy)...Love will be good, but, i dont think he and Jefferson will fit well together

Re: Who's Worse?
Isiah was the better basketball player.
I think we're too quick to jump on McHale right now for his decisions as a GM.
Yea things look bad right now, real bad; but let's face it, we're in no position to really question his wisdom. He did get the best value for KG, a trade that had to be made. He's got some young talent to play around with.
let's see his plan come to fruition before we start comparing him to a GM that literally put his team in cap hell, made no good trades, and only drafted marginally well.
