I just read that Memphis is calling us about Howard. What would we need to pull the trigger?

Do you mean their lottery pick? I'd definitely do that deal but I don't see Memphis giving Miller plus top 5 talent for Howard.

It would have to start with Mike Miller and probably one of their point guys (Lowry most likely), but i don't see Memphis doing this at all.

Why not? Maybe if we add Bass we might get the #20 pick too. Yet, we could probably buy #20. Boy, we talk like Cuban has bags with $3 million dollars in it for his disposal. He may have to manipulate his holdings in order to shell out $3 million for late 1st round picks. He has to have lost a bloody fortune in all this gas/oil/corn/tomatoes/whatever stagflation we're in...

Why would they need Howard? What need does he fill?

Why ask why? If it benefits us, let it happen. Ya never know...

I'd do that first trade all day. I would also look at a deal that included Bass if we could get Gay and #5. That way we could get our SG and thenn draft Love or Lopez if we wanted a big. I'd also be very happy with Gordon, alexander, or westbrook. It might not be a bad idea to target a PG since Kidd won't be here forever.

I wouldn't mind getting Lowry somehow. He has nice D and also a lot of upside IMO.

Rudy Gay would be awesome, but I would settle for Mike Miller or the #5 pick

I wouldn't do it if it was only Miller or the #5. It has to be a player that can help us now (Miller, Gay, Warrick) plus the #5. I honestly don't see them moving Gay because of his age so what about:

Howard, Bass, and filler/cash/future pick

For

Miller, Lowry, #5

What about:

Howard to Memphis

Bass, Lowry, Wright and Stack to Clips

Maggette, Miller, and Thomas To Dallas

Kidd/Terry
Maggette/Jones
Miller/George
Dirk/Thomas

Love those three-way trades!

I can't find fault with this except Tim Thomas is a jack@$$ and I dunno, maybe if he were on our team it would be different...

I can't find fault with this trade.

From the look of that package, Memphis would want to add Stack for Cardinal as the filler.

Would you guys be interested in Conley? What else would it take to make a deal for Howard happen?

Too late dude. If we were talking Conley and Mike Miller than maybe we could talk. But you don't have him anymore.

If Mem didn't get rid of Conley with the previous trade, he won't with any future ones. Conley, Gay, and Mayo is what the Griz will build around.
