Well, well, well......

I knew McHale would pull the trigger on Love and Mayo would some how end up in a different uniform than the Wolves. This deal isn't too bad, we got rid of a bunch of bad contracts and got a player many of the folks here on the board had wanted us to draft straight up. We get South dakota boy Miller who can certainly shoot and open up the offense so that's good but he does take time away from Brewer's development and he may also make it less appealing for Gomes to resign. After all, now we have three SFs other than him(if Snyder is signed) and two legitimate PF's in Al and Love, three if Cookie sticks around. So why wouldn't he look elsewhere? This makes signing Bassy the most important of all the moves too. So I think Gomes is as good as gone.

The only bad part is we did not get a real center back in the deal. Cardinal is a waste of oxygen and Collins is not exactly the berlin wall, unless you mean post-Reagan, on defense.

I'm really dissappointed with the second round. Drafting Nickoli (Rasho Nesterovich) whoever does nothing for me. We could have picked up CDR and played him next year or picked up Jordan and stuck him in the development league or drafted Hardin and used him in spurts. Hell, they have some potential! The Euro guy signed a big contract in Greece and won't be around for three years before he comes and busts. We could have already run off Jordan and Hardin by then and reloaded if they crap out!

And then the one that really pisses me off, drafting Mario Chalmers and trading him for two second round picks and cash. Isn't Taylor worth 2 or 3 billion? why does he need petty cash enough that these trades look good. 2 second round picks makes me want to puke. They are totally worthless with Mchale drafting and next year's draft is supposed to be horrible compared to this year's. you tell me they can find two guys in next year's second round that will make the team, no way!

They should have taken Jordan and Hardin with those two picks and had the BIG MAN teacher school them into something useful. Instead we got two meaningless picks and some fricking cash. Nice.

This is why I don't follow these guys as much anymore.
