My prediction...

Post#1 » by MalReyn » Mon Apr 2, 2007 1:59 am

In a few short months, this will be one of the most active boards on RealGM.

Anyway, to get conversation started, who does everyone think will win the National Championship next year?

.... gets trampled by the juggernaut that is USC. Its Booty time! :D With the departure of Lane Kiffin, our offense might actually be more complicated than our current "LOLZ JARRETT N SMITH R GREATRZ DAN JU" offense.

Oh, how I'd love for Notre Dame to win it all, but they seem more like a 9-4 team with some growing pains. They're reloading at some serious key positions such as QB, RB, WR, DLine, etc., but at least this time, they have some quality youth to try and plug in.

As for who I seriously think will win it all? I think it will unfortunately come down to USC, Florida, and Texas. Whoever can fill their holes with their youth the best will take it all. That seems like USC to me. Florida will have a completely different offensive gameplan, for better or worse, with Tebow playing fulltime at QB now. You will NOT see him running like you did last year.

The Wisconsin Badgers baby!

We only lost 5 starters from the 06 team and only one of the players we lost will be playing on Sunday (Thomas) so the vast majority of our talent is comin' back.

Lots of returning starters and a few very good youngin's fillin' the holes.

Look out, here comes Bucky!!!

It'll be a contest, but at this point I'm going with LSU as the NC early favorites.

Wisconsin will be fun to watch for sure.

wisconsin? are you kiddin me? yea they got a good defense but their offense is so-so. they always come up short. i cant see them makin a serious run at the NC with usc, lsu, florida, and other teams in front of them. id say usc will win it all next year even tho i hate them. booty will be much better. he could win the heisman next year. usc will just reload and be too good.

Same people said we couldn't beat Arkansas...We do what we have to to win, ugly or not.

As a Badgers fan, I've never been more excited for a season. Been a while since we came into a season on a 9 game winning streak. Alot of people will question our QB spot but with the RBs we have I don't think QB will be much of a problem. I have all the confidence in the world in Beilema, Hill, and Donovan/Evridge. Wiscy's defense will be tops in the nation. We aren't gonna allow anyone to consistantly score.

I'm trying hard to be excited about Georgia, but they lost so many great players on defense. I still then Stafford is going to blow up and we'll be in the SEC Championship. Against LSU. Georgia destroying them again. :D

With what? Buster Davis and Lawrence Timmons are in the NFL and I like Xavier Lee but he won't step it up.

FSU's time as a college football power is at its last throes until Bowden dies.

USC looks real strong, though that early trip to Nebraska might be harder than a lot of people think.

I see this being one of those years where there's no undefeated teams and about 4 or 5 teams with one loss and they're all fighting for two spots. It's going to depend on who the losses come from. The winner of the Michigan/Wisconsin game is probably going to get in as long as they don't lose more than one game, and it's not UM losing to OSU again.

If Virginia Tech gets solid QB play they are going to sail thru the ACC and their defense is going to be nasty.

I really think LSU is going to be right their.

The defense will probably be better, the line especially, the running game will be great as usual, and Matt Flynn is a stable QB, and has proven himself in a big game (LSU V Miami)

A sophmore quarterback (Tim Tebow) won't stand a chance against the Seminole pass rush. We reload on defense every year. Our problem, is on the offensive side of the ball, where Bobby let Jeff have too much say.

Jimbo Fischer is in charge of the offense now, look for Florida State to have a really good year.
