Steve Francis

Post#1 » by Draino » Fri Jun 27, 2008 8:17 pm

Call me crazy but the guy needs to revamp his career, he needs a fresh start, I still believe that Steve Francis can be the all star caliber player, obviously not as good as he used to be, but put him on the right team and you never know. I would give him a chance, he could come at a not so high price either. We need a PG badly, he needs a fresh start. Big athletic PG, why not?

I wouldn't have a problem bringing him in here. I don't think Petrie would be a big fan of this, but I would give it a shot.

He still has a contract with the Rockets so you guys will have to trade for him.
Athletically he is no where close to where he used to be , he can't dunk no more and lost a ton of quickness.

OK...since you said so...you're crazy.
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

I think that they are paying him around 2 million a year which isn't to bad. I would rather have beno and I even like Singletary if he gets stronger. So I wouldn't mind having him hear but wouldn't give anything to significant for him.

He's been crap, hasn't he? So what why would coming to the Kings boost his career back to where it was, being a star.

If you do bring him, he does come pretty cheap, what is he getting? Like 2.65M a year?

might as well bite the bullet and trade artest and thomas to the knicks for marbury.... if you are gonna suck, suck with a huge expiring contract....

Isn't he an alcoholic? I'd take a pass and go after Brooks.

lol no i have just been busy and not really have time to post, i do check out the boards every once in a while, but like before mentioned, Marbury wouldn't be a bad pickup with 20+ mil coming off the boards after the season, would you rather have that?

Nah, Marbury's a cancer. I want a young PG like a Lowry, Crittenton, Louis Williams, etc. type of player personally.

I understand that, it would be nice to get a young PG, but wouldn't you rather get the 20+ mill off the boards for next season?? Think about it

Marbury's contract may be enticing, but I still wouldn't want him anywhere near the team. I would trade for him and waive him though.

The Knicks have a respectable GM. I think they'd want to keep Marbury's expiring deal.
