Honestly i dont even want Kristic back anymore
Seeing how we have to many big we got Nenad back it would limit play time for Boone or WIlliams by so much. I think Nenad needs Kidd just lIke Moore needed Kidd to be good. But hell if im the only one that doesnt really want him back that much then o well

I think Yi makes Krstic redundant. He and Anderson will serve the same role in our offense that Krstic did, that is a shooter off the pick and pop.

Re: Honestly i dont even want Kristic back anymore
krstic is a better post option than anyone we have right now, though I wouldn't be afraid of trading him if we got something of value. Really, I would prefer a S&T of him right now for future value but we can't look to force something like that. The Nets will likely be willing to keep him but they will be open to a S&T.

I agree with you here, but I really question the viability of a S&T. Considering the health issues is someone really going to offer a MLE for him? Also, if I'm another team, after seeing the moves NJ made on Thursday (adding 3 big men and trading RJ with 2010/11 in mind), I'd question their willingness to match a contract that stretches out beyond two seasons.

I'm not ready to give up on Curly yet. The guy is only 24 but lets say 25 because he'll start next season at that age. I think we made the right move offering him a qualifing offer of 2.7 mil. If he can find his way back to his old self and build on it he would be a low risk/high reward possibility. I'm dissapointed he regressed but I hope he accepts our offer.

Re: Honestly i dont even want Kristic back anymore
I love Curly. I'd hate to see him leave, but right now our front court is incredibly crowded. I think they'll try to move Stro first and hope nobody signs Krstic to an offer sheet before they do. Right now, Krstic has the move experience in our front court. Even with his knee injury he still has some decent value. Maybe we can do a S&T of Krstic out to GSW for a S&T for Pietrus. You think both teams would be interested in that? Problem is I don't really wanna sign anyone long term at the 3 because if we land who we want to land in 2010, Vince will move to the 3 and such. Random but I think we can find decent value for Krstic somewhere if we do. Again, hate to see him go but it's probably gonna happen. Especially if we can't move Stro.

I actually believe that Nenad will bounce back from injury but with the way this team is right now 7 effin bigs yeah we just cant have him here.
Getting Yi basically signaled that Nenad is out of here.

^^^^ Exactly. I believe the month of July is gonna have 1-2 more trades coming the Nets way at least.

I don't see how Yi being here affects Curly. Yi is a 3 or 4. Krstic is a 5. In my opinion come opening day Krstic should be the starter with Brook coming off the bench as the backup center. I think the Nets will move Stro somewhere down the line for a future pick and/or cash considerations. The good thing about Krstic is that even though he's a veteran he is still a young player...A young player with experience and we need that on our team. Plus, Brook can learn a thing or two from Krstic.

The rookies and Yi are unproven at this point Kurly needs to be re-signed they would learn from watching him on the court.

I am not really a fan of Krstic but i agree with your opinion here. The rookies are not ready yet, they should just come off the bench this year and learn from there and then next year Krstic would become the back-up center behind Lopez. I'd rather move Stro and hopefully somebody is still willing to have him and get a back-up (3rd string, if we still have M. Williams) PG, and if we somehow trade M. Williams along with Stro then im pretty sure we gonna get a decent back-up PG back.
We need a SF and i believe we're gonna get it via free agency, there's lots of free agent SF's this year. I don't feel like we're getting a Michael Petrius (although i would really love to have him) because he's probably gonna demand multiple years but someone like Jarvis Hayes is not a bad alternative, he would come cheap. There's more cheap SF to like, can you guys name some?

Re: Honestly i dont even want Kristic back anymore
The perfect scenario would be if Krstic signed a contract overseas. Thorn even mentioned it. The Nets would retain his rights while Krstic would disappear from the NBA for a few years.
