As much as I liked/didn't mind the idea of the Bobcats taking Brook Lopez, he kind of felt like a "Safe pick". The kind of pick this team has done consistentally to mixed results.

Not that DJ is such a high risk/high reward pick, but it seems more like something that needed to happen.

Theres a couple ideas that I might have liked, but it would've included a lot of "settling on".

Say 9 and something for 13 and Jarret Jack. Jacks a pretty decent PG, but hes turnover prone.

Or maybe the pacers wanted DJ. In theory you could've traded the 9 for 11 and say Ike Diogu...but Ike has pretty much a let down since hes come into the league.

This is the 1st Bobcats draft, I've ever been content with. Every other one, it always felt like the team missed out on an oppurtunity.

I'm just ready to watch someone with a Bobcats logo play. I was a little dissappointed on draft night, but I'm over it. i understand the picks, we need these guys to perform... so let's go. Bring on Vegas!!!

Thanks for the radio interviews fatlever

interview with brevin knight from news14

he talks a little bit about the bobcats, kinda laughs when he says the point guard position has always been an "area of question"... [taken as subtle dig at felton?]

It takes a truly evil person to leave his family behind just so he can keep up the guise of really wanting to do whatever it took to stay in Charlotte. You're fooling no one!

He really is little Diablo.

Assist by Knight--cool charity name.

I think it's best we got rid of Knight last season. True, Augustin's role will probably be very similar to what BK did, but we had to get Knight out of town in order to find out it was a harder role to fill than we expected.

In hindsight, keeping Knight would've been helpful for us the posters, because then we probably would've taken Brook instead of DJ.

That Bleacher report article was horrid....

There is alot of Bobcat misinformation. (Anti-arena crowd?) Could we sticky a "Bobcat misconceptions" thread at the top that includes:

1. MJ is not the GM
2. Mek is not a PF

Almost as cool as "Second Chance Opportunity after a Bad Decision, by Raymond Felton."

Don't break out the red font, I couldn't help myself!
