I wouldn't. He completely sucked and was injury plagued almost the whole season for the spurs. And was unimportant in the playoffs because he was so out of shape. He shot and defended poorly almost the whole playoffs.

If he were to stay in shape and be able to contribute during the season, i'll have second thoughts for a vets min.

I'd take him for cheap. He sucked big time in the playoffs but he still plays solid defense and still a threat to stretch the floor. And hasn't he never lost in the first round ;)

I don't know , I Don't think so but if we do I wouldn't mind too much.

As 11th man/situation guy and a decoy during crunch time. Why not? Nobody is gonna leave big shot bob open with 3 secs remaining in the game.

I don't want him. We've got Novak to act as a decoy in crunch time.

And Head.

And Battier.

And Greene.

And Rafer.

Yea but Horry got more rings than the Whole Houston Rockets combined. His experience is invaluable. I would like to see him on this team.

If we want to invite washed up old champs, we might as well bring Clyde out of the broadcast booth and give Murphy his old job back.

Which I'm not totally against.

He is, at this point, useless as a player, and we already have coaches. Keep him away.

He'd bring a lot of championship experience and 10-15 MPG at most. If his contract is small, I'm sure you guys will consider it.

We'll probably sign him. Morey won't be happy until the entire team consists of power forwards.

Good point. Looks like Daryl overstocking at certain positions is a recurring theme. But the thing that bothers me about it this year moreso than last is the fact that he's getting all of these players at our strongest position, rather than addressing our weaknesses. There's no need to create a logjam at an already pruductive position.

I mean, does he really hate Hayes that much?

i wouldnt mind him as our 3rd pf in place of chuck hayes. i mean when horry is 75 years old, he will still be better than hayes right now. and somebody mentioned clyde? if clyde laced them back up right now, could he be any worse than head?

Consider this, if the power forward position is strong that means we have several good players at that position and when it comes time to make deals, we have guys that are attractive to other teams meaning we can make deals from our position of strength, get a quality player back and not suffer a crippling dropoff in production. Last year one could argue that we had a plethora of point guards, but most of them were off the trash heap and had very little trade value. Now, we may be in a position where we can trade a Landry, Hayes or Scola(hope not) if the right deal presents itself and still man that position without having to go all Ryan Bowen if you catch my drift.

If you look at it from that perspective, what Morey is doing is pure genius and he has put himself in a position to be able to make deals that he wouldn't have made prior to the draft by picking up Dorsey. Teams want Scola and Landry and would probably give you something good for them, but no way in hell you move either of those guys prior to this draft. Even moving Hayes would have been a concern when you're a little unsure about Landry's knee stability.
