We will need someone to come off the bench to give Bynum some rest. I like the idea of playing Kwame with Gasol. The both have different strenghts. Gasol is an excellent offensive player and Kwame is a very good low post defender.

i really want him to come back for the vet min. we really need beef up front and defense cuz in the finals pau and lamar was softer than kleenex tissue out there but with kwame n andrew coming back i think that would be an improve

If lakers are going to sign Kwame, he needs to lose weight first. he was way too fat this last season. He could barely get off the ground to dunk. I prefer the Kwame who was skinnier and played PF. He seemed more confident and explosive

Agree, I would take Kwame over Mihm. If we somehow can cut Mihm then I would go with Kwame. but I know that will not happen since Mihm has a players option for next season

Kwame for BAE and Artest or Posey for MLE would turn us into an elite defensive team.

20 bucks a game sounds like a decent contract considering all the money he's already stolen from every team he's been on

but ya i'd like to have him back

I rather go with a small line-up than get Kwame back. His man defense is slightly above average. He doesn't know how to rotate, help weak-side, or help as secondary defender because his basketball IQ is so low. Too much of a liability. I was glad he got injured when he was with us, and I was jumping for joy when he got traded.

He has great low post D. And, he is way better than Mihm.

Once we've signed Posey, I'll chime in. For now, I'd be willing to add Kwame for the vet minimum.

Sign him, but just don't let him touch the ball.

Holy crap that's a lot of options. I want him for the minimum, but I'd be willing to pay up to the BAE. So that's what I chose.

Kwame doesn't have to replace Mihm, he'd replace Mbenga, who didn't see the light of day in the playoffs.

Bynum and Gasol backed by Kwame, Mihm, and Turiaf is just a very versatile frontcourt.

IDK, I always liked Kwame, I think there was too much expectations from him being the starting center, kind of like the same situation as Lamar. Bring the big fellow back, his defense will help us. He will need to work on handling the ball in the post. He just needs to dunk the ball with 2 hands!

I voted Lakers for more than vets minimum btw. There is no way Kwame won't get a better offer than vets min. If we get him for BAE, we'd get a terrific bargain to be honest.

I think the Lakers need a bigman who can play defense at the C spot.

Kwame fits the bill and Phil would use him more than Mbenga

That's not a bad move at the league minimum but if we are to become better defensively then we also need to use what we have. Get rid of Mihm & keep D.J. He plays good tough defense & never backs down. That would give us back up for the back ups

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
