Andrew Bogut..
will having 3 scorers and a new coach(just throwing this one out there..new coach changes everything, not talking about Skiles actual coaching style) help Bogut by taking attention away from him from other teams, and help him get more opportunities feeding off them?..
or will the opposite happen, where his growth is killed? Redd and Jefferson are known as ballhogs, especially Redd..neither guy is good at creating for others and playmaking..Mo Williams is a PG, but he's shoot-first..
so which one is more likely?..

I could definitely see him clashing with Scott Skiles.

And something tells me that the Bucks are not yet finished wheeling and dealing. They like Joe Alexander a lot and it really wouldn't surprise me if they actively shopped Michael Redd around.

Re: Andrew Bogut..
bogut's game took a real turn in the 2nd half of the season. i expect him to be the clear cut leader of the team and have the offense run through him. the smaller guys will have to defer.

Re: Andrew Bogut..
Why should the attention go away from him? lol
He's one of their better players, and has decent inside moves, and should be a focal point of their team. He's been in the league for 2 years now IISC, and has yet to find his niche.
Not sure how going away from him is going to improve him for the long run....

Maybe Joe Alexander & R.J. will give him a high-five when he goes to the charity stripe. . .

Re: Andrew Bogut..
he's a lot like Emeka Okafor on offense in that he seems completely underutilized.

Re: Andrew Bogut..
well that's what I mean..I think he's a good player with potential, but I'd be concerned with how big of a role he's going to have with Redd, Jefferson and Williams on the team..I hope they get rid of one of those guys so he can have the ball more..

Re: Andrew Bogut..
I'd put Redd on a short leash and trade away Mo Williams away for a pass first PG.

I think RJ can create just fine.

They would be a better team if Andrew Bogut was the #1 option, and Redd was the #3 option with Sessions at PG instead of Mo Williams. Of course, there's a very slim chance of all that happening simultaneously.

I disagree with Redd being a ball hog. Also I think Ramon Sessions may turn into the point guard they need and take the ball out of the hands of Redd and Jefferson more and more. That string of ~20 assist games he had to end the year was a pretty amazing feat for a 2nd round rookie point guard who spent half the year in the d-league.

Re: Andrew Bogut..
I agree, if they had a pass-first PG more worried about setting up the offense than trying to up their PPG, Bogut would benefit. Redd is their #1 scorer no doubt, but that doesn't mean he should be the #1 option either...
If Bogut was given thumbs to step out and take some more shots, people would get off his case a bit. Because he has range. But while they surround him with outside players his range is stifled and his ability to use his passing touch inside is wasted.
If the Redd-RJ-Bogut combo doens't get the Bucks into playoff land it's time for the Bogie man to move on IMO.

Yeah, what about him?
You all are correct. The Bucks aren't done trading most likely and Mo will probably go, not Redd. I have no idea what we are doing though, this off-season(besides the Joe Alexander pick) has totally fooled me so far. Bogut will get enough shots to average around 16-18 ppg and 9-12 rpg next year I think. He averaged 14 and 10 last year so I think he can get even more open shots and he won't be doubled teamed as much which I think will help him. His assists I think will also go up because he's such a great passer and with RJ being a slasher they can find a way to utilize that. He's not a superstar, but he's a damn good player and I think the addition of RJ will only help him.

Re: Andrew Bogut..
Adding a quality slasher like RJ (Mason doesn't count) will definetly make him look better and utilise his best trait, passing. It's all dependant on how many touches he gets, surely after last season the offence would be run through him? I mean we all remember Skiles jump shooting Bulls side. With a current perimetre of MoWill, Redd and RJ it could turn ugly, but thats definetly worst case scenario.
I'm more concerned with whos going to play PF, personally do not think CV fits with him that well. I'd prefer Bogut next to someone who boards and bangs then a mediocre defender with a semi-decent Jumper.

Not sure why someone Bogut would clash with him.. Bogut has shown that he gives a damn and has fight in him. Cannot say that about some of his teammates.

Re: Andrew Bogut..
this whole thing can be solved by getting a pass-first PG sigh. well could just ramon get rid of mo an land a good PF thats a great defender, finishes around the basket and doesn't demand the ball that much.
