Brian Butch and Demetric Bennett

Just read that the Hawks have invited Brian Butch to their minicamp (as well as Boston's)and that he will play for their summer team. He's supposedly a great big w/ good skills, but injury problems. This could be a cheap option at backup big.

Butch is one of the few undrafted C's out there. He had a lot of hype coming out of high school but injuries have held him down.

What I found interesting is that most of the players I mentioned are linked to Miami (Josh Duncan, Pat Calathes, and David Padgett). They didn't list the teams for Chris Lofton (could we be the other team he is talking to?) and Jamont Gordon although they had write ups on both. I am hopeful that our 3rd PG is someone young we can develop because if Woodson brings back on of his familiar vets then I worry how it will affect Acie's PT (and we need him to play a lot to know where we stand for the future).

Im glad we are looking at Butch I think he could legitimately add something to our team from the get go... I would also take a look at Chris Lofton and Colorado's Richard Roby
