I suppose the summer league rosters will be coming out in the next coupla weeks. I wonder if the Magic bring in Pat Calathes, since he's a local kid and all. Kinda surprised he didn't get picked at least in the late second.

I believe they do, not sure if all of them air, but I know they show them there, I think ESPN2 airs them as well...plus they will probably stream them live on the OM site, just like last year...i think...

Magic's summer league usually isn't on TV. NBA TV only does the summer leagues in Utah and Las Vegas.

Last year, the Magic put it on orlandomagic.com.

I never been excited about the Summer League before. Rose, Beasley, Lopez, Rush will all be there. I hope Gortat gets to guard Beasley and Lopez. That will be fun!

Thief I think you misread what he said.

The Magic's SL isn't on tv, but a couple others air on NBA TV.

Just wondering, how do you get in to see the games. What's your connection? I was able to see the summer league games two years ago because I was doing an internship with the Orlando Sentinel and got to interview Diener, Otis, and Dave Twardzik. Diener was amazing on that summer team. Larry Bird was there also but I didn't have the balls to go up to him because my story was on Diener. I should have asked a question like, "Larry, how does it feel to now be the second best white player after Travis Diener." : (

oh wow, Cliff Hammonds is a nice prospect I like him a lot, he is a great energy guy and he's a quality player, good offense and defense, real pesky...

Brian Roberts is decent, he's primarily a scorer though, Mark Tyndale is a nice prospect, but he's another combo 2/3 guy, not sure if that's what we want even though he has a lot of potential, Derrick Byars is a great young athlete and he plays very very good defense, but IDK about him. D'or Fischer meh...once again the Magic have one of the weakest SL rosters, we'll certainly lose all 5 games this year...but we do have Lee and Lee>>>>Beasley, Rose, Mayo, Love etc...

Where did you find this? I was just on the Magic site and didn't see anything about the summer league roster.

Anyway, probable starting lineup (?):
PG - Kruger
SG - Lee
SF - ???
PF - Auggie
C - Gortat

If I'm Stan, I tell Ewing to give Lee at least ten minutes at the PG each game and to run a zillion pick and rolls with Lee and Gortat. We need to see what those two guys can do on the offensive end.

Also, I would make Lee guard the other team's best perimeter player regardless of position so we can get an idea of how he does against quick little PGs and against longer, stronger wing players.

Thanks for posting this. I think that Tyndale can actually be a Dooling type player and he's bigger. Maybe Byars got his act together, he could turn out to be decent. I'm pretty skeptical of bigs that go undrafted and have to play through summer leagues.

Not bad. I think the Magic half heartedly try to use the Summer League like other teams use the 2nd round of the draft.
