We have a C. It's a mobile PF and a back up PG that we were missing.............which we hope we have addressed by drafting Ajinca and DJ.

Just wondering as I'm working out a trade but would you guys be in favor of a trade that involved the bobcats sending felton and carroll to milwaukee and getting Villanueva and Nate Robinson in return? CV would give you guys an athletic PF with a good offensive game to match with Okafor's absolute lack of offense and a young explosive 6th man who could backup the point and the 2. It's clear Felton's not there for long and Carroll is just another overpaid shooter.

You guys could role with
Augustin/Nate
Richardson/Nate
Wallace/Morrison
Villanueva/May
Okafor/Mohammed

It's not clear Felton won't be here for long. I'm not interested.

You honestly think he'll hold off Augustin? Did he show huge progress late last season that I missed or something? If not then I don't see what he's done to warrant the team keeping faith in him over the 9th overall pick, especially when that pick is better at penetrating and is a better shooter. Charlie V compliments Okafor's d well, with a coach like Brown he'd be much more consistent and nate would be an offensive spark off the bench behind Augustin that I just can't imagine Felton being once he losses his starting job.

Felton was the only NBA level PG on the team last year. This season we have 2. You think DJ starts from day 1 because he was the 9th pick? Lurk more on our board before proposing such preposterousness!!!

DJ shot 43% from the floor and 38% from 3pt land in college. Felton is also one of the best in THE NBA at penetrating - that's probably his strongest point. So far that's two things you're wrong on cgf. We're not interested in dealing him unless we get something of higher value in return.

If you think DJ is that much better, then how about we do a DJ for Redd swap?

well obviously you feel felton is better than say..... mo williams who you just paid a ton of money to, right?

even if dj beats felton for the job at some point this year.... great. felton would make a super backup, since he can play both guard spots, he can defend and he's proven to be solid at scoring at the end of games. plus nobody has more heart than that dude.

You might want to read this before you compare the penetrating abilities of the two "Learning the NBA will take time for rookie guard. First lesson: Going to rim isn't best option for 6-footers."...http://www.charlotte.com/bobcats/story/706721.html

Yeah, he's crazy. You have to be AT LEAST 6'1" (and/or from UNC) before you can be excused from driving the lane and not converting.

i figure we can put this thread to rest for a while. maybe i'll start a dj vs felton sticky in the preseason as i am sure that will be a never-ending debate.

No, please god, make it stop. Not Felton vs. DJ.

Can't we all just agree not to go there until like, next year?

Oh god. Oh god.

haha... people already went there based on 3 summer league games, so you know its coming starting with the preseason and will be full force by mid-december. i predict a 100 page dj vs felton thread by the end of next season. book it.

I wouldn't' doubt that at all. That summer league thread was ridiculous. DJ was doing all right, no need to harp on him after 3 games for having no assists in summer leagues. The main thing was he was playing well in the offense, wasn't dominating the ball although I'd have like to have seen that some and making some good plays.

I'd like to point out Brevin Knight was traded for fellow Bobcats hall of famer Jason Hart this week.

And go
