Luke Ridnour

Post#1 » by turk3d » Mon Jun 30, 2008 2:33 am

What do you guys think of of Luke Ridnour as a cheap, 3rd string point guard for us? Has no D but he can shoot 3s, is a very good passer and wouldn't be expecting too many minutes. Probably can be had for less than a mil. He's not dumb and should do well under Nellie (he's a Nellie type scrub if you know what I mean). I'd take him over CJ in a heartbeat.

If he'll play for 3rd string money, sure. I'm not sure the Warriors are willing to go much over the vet minimum for their 3rd string PG. I bet Ridnour gets a better offer somewhere. The Hawks need a 2nd PG, for instance.

May have. He's not shown on the Clippers books any more so he must be a FA. I'm not too sure it's going to be that easy for him to get a decent job out there and if he was bought out, he's probably going to get the min from whoever signs him. He needs to go somewhere that he can have some measure of success, otherwise he's going to be out of the league. Nellie and the Ws would be the perfect stop for him. No pressure on him and he's just the type of guy whom Nellie would find a use for. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think he'd be a good fit on a 1 year deal (could be a Stevie Kerr type with better handles) and a very cheap replacement vet for CJ and definitely better than Thud.

You're right, my bad. Ridnour's too expensive and Dickau's too little.
