Well, it's not a sure thing anymore but I think with this team and Coach K we'll be alright. We have a great back court with Kidd, Paul and Deron Williams. Intl. play is usually more reliant on guards than post players. There's now a slim chance we slip up somewhere though obviously.

Yeh, i se the only risky move as puting bron in at PF but even then i think he can hold his own down there with the worlds best, they finished third at the national chips 2 years agoe without kobe and Kidd so i think they are pretty certain but watch for Spain and Argentina to challenge em. They cant go in underestimating other countries any more, im from Australia even we look much stronger then all other years previous.

I don't know about you, but I wouldn't bet against a team with the likes of LeBron, Kobe, Carmelo, and Kidd in the starting lineup. That is beside the fact that their bench boasts players like Boozer, Wade, and Chris Paul.

1% chance of not winning..

the talent is undeniable..the chemistry will be solid..

look at the leaders on that team..Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul, Jason Kidd, Deron Williams..solid leadership that will result in good chemistry..

i really don't want us to be set up for disappointment. but yes, i put it at 25% of not winning. if we were playing non-vaginafied rules: 0%

I think the United States will win. They will be a good defensive team, excellent in transition, and able to push the pace to take advantage. Still, I wouldn't be too surprised if Spain or someone else wins it.

It will almost be too bad if the USA wins it, because I get the feeling they haven't learned their lesson. Still too many scorers an not enough shooters. Bringing Kidd is a mistake because his shooting will be a liability. They'll be fine defensively for international competition, but they could have fielded a much better defensive team, especially in the post. Bosh, Boozer, and Carmelo are all known as poor NBA defenders, and even Dwight is questionable here (magic were significantly better defensively when he was on the bench). There are some questions about how well they'll fit together, and they haven't had as much experience together as most national teams.

I'd say 1 %..they have to suicide themselves.:they always had the talent but now they are a team, they played with each other for sometime, they have the point guards.. they got too much for the opposite teams
