What does everyone think of Villanueva and livingston

Post#1 » by cmor42180 » Mon Jun 30, 2008 12:42 pm

ok since villanueva is being shopped and livingston might be available cheap...maybe, what would everyone think of bringing them in, maybe redick and a pick for villanueva and then see how cheap livingston would be, i mean villanueva is an upgrade over cookie monster and can be pretty good plus with out lack of bigs it could be helpful, and livingston is a huge pg, often injured and very fragile but if he can stay on 2 feet he could be dangerous and that would create some crazy mismatches against bigger pgs

thoughts? go ahead and bash away if you want, lol, i know some people in the past have hated villanueva

For the right price either/both would look good in Magic black-with-blue-trim.

I see Villanueva as a poor man's Drew Gooden, and I mean that in a bad way. Still, I'd take him if we could get him on the cheap, and I would definitely take a chance on Livingston if we could do that inexpensively.

I don't like CV's game at all.

Livingston could be a nice pick up depending on his cost. That was one of the worst injuries I have ever seen, and his return to NBA physicality standards has not been answered yet.

The idea of CV makes me sick, specially since we already have Cook. Thats not the brusing PF we need to come off the bench.

Charlie V is a scrub and that's hard for me to say because I'm a HUGE UCONN fan. He's LAZY and I think he's a bad locker room presence. As for Livingston, I'd give him a shot, but I wouldn't be willing to pay a lot for that chance as that injury was gruesome and I'd be cautious that he would ever be able to preform at the level he did before the injury.

Sorry but I will pass. As bad as I feel for Livingston, you just cant know what effect his injury will have in the future. I am done dealing and bringing injured players Grant Hill tought me a very good lesson. And dont really have an opinion on Vill.

I would easily do a Bogans and cook for CV

and Livingston is going to sign somewhere for LLE, he is not worth anymore than that with his current state...

Than if Maggz comes in and J.will stays true to his word...

Nelson/Livingston/Williams
Maggz/JJ/Lee
Hedo/ ?
Lewis/CV/Auggie
Dwight/Battie/Gortat

Just have to find another cheap 3... or make Hedo the 6th man and start Lee or JJ

Nelson
JJ
Maggz
Lewis
Dwight

6th Hedo..

Or

Nelson
Maggz
Lewis
Battie
Howard

6th Hedo,7th JJ,8th Lee the second unit would roll deep with scorers..

I'd certainly gamble the LLE on Livingston...

They both suck and are coming down to earth after some years spent in the land of the overrated. Livingston is a huge gamble too, after that injury...who's up for GrantHill part deux?

charlie v prob not livingston defenitly if he is healthy, would be huge pg who can play d, my only issue with him is after that injury will he lose alot of his lateral quickness and become a defensive liability.
