He reminds me more of Jason Richardson than Michael Redd, but hey, if he is half of Jason Richardson, that is a good pickup for #51.

One thing I noticed from the highlights is that he is not a spot up 3 pt shooter, he is shooting on the move and over anyone in front of him. I believe many of his shots will be blocked in the NBA, but given a few years, he may be a solid player.

The way he shoots the ball makes it difficult to be blocked. Since he is 6'6" and actually gets up to shoot, along with his release being above his head, not many people will block it. He in no way has a similar shot to dirk but dirk kind of does the same thing shooting it above/behind his head and has a very difficult shot to block.

Shan is a great pick for #51 but he will never be a starter and at best will just be a decent contributor. I like the guy and watched him a lot in college but the games are completely different. You can get a highlight film and make anyone look good. A lot of scouts think he rushes it too much against better defenders and presses too much, so maybe he will calm down more with practice and be a good 3 shooter off the bench.

Let me be the first to say this...

Best second round choice to play for the Mavs since Najera!

Mark it!
If we could just close games with Luka, Kyrie, Green, Maxi, and Wood that'd be great...

Im gonna chalk it up as to a lot of people simply not doing their homework. That kid is the #1 shoooter in the draft. A lot of us in Orlando were hoping to grab him if we took a big at #22 and bought or traded for a 2nd rounder.

Underrated as an athlete super long wingspan (6-11) and he Usher's twin brother to boot.

We don't hate Shan Foster, in fact at #51 he is a good pickup. Hard to believe that you can get the Player of the Year in the SEC that late in the draft. He may end up being a very nice player.

The hate is for the Mavs front office who told us that they were going to be as agressive as they ever were in this draft. Then we see other teams buying picks and making moves and the Mavericks just sitting on thier asses doing nothing. Then of course you get the same B.S. after the draft about how this guy was the one they wanted all along and were very surprised that he slipped to us. Don't get me wrong at 51 he is a good pick. Any pick there is a long shot and he is as good as any other choice that could be made that late. If the Mavs had bought that #27 pick and drafted Darrell Aurthur and then drafted Shan Foster at 51 we would all be very happy.

I guess Bass don't count since he was not drafted by us?

neither was Najera

Foster will start more than likely, Bass is doomed to be a rotational/spot starting undersized power forward.

Foster will be the best 2nd round choice made by the Mavs to play on the Mavs mark that!

JES, JES, JES... I don't know what to say to you
