well our cap space depends a ton on what FAs we keep this summer and for how much as well as the post-rookie contracts of Foye and McCants as well as how much it costs to bring over Pekovic that summer. I don't know how much money we will really have...it really depends on Foye's play.

Thanks for the list, tanat-os, I was wondering who all the free agents are when we finally have room to shell out some money.

Here is who we have on contract in 2010:

http://hoopshype.com/salaries/minnesota.htm

The people I like from that list are:

Brenden Haywood
Tyson Chandler
Brandon Roy
Joe Johnson
Josh Howard

The people that I like from that list that have a 5% chance of coming here:

Lebron James
Dwyane Wade

Hopefully in 2010, if we have enough money, that it will convince these stars to come to Minny and not just a big city like NY.

If there was a year that was good for cap space, i'm glad that we are looking to have that space in 2010, unless Mchale screws that up by getting players with longer deals.

Tyson Chandler would be ideal. Love would come off the bench a-la Bill Walton in '86 Celtics.

The only problem is EVERY team is gunning for 2010 cap space. There will be plenty of big markets with big cap space, most likely. On a side note, if we signed Brandon Roy, I would LOLOLOLOLOLOL so hard at the Blazers board...but Roy's a Blazer for a long time, I'm sure.

No way is there enough minutes for that front court.

I'd also switch Pekovic and Love on that depth chart.

There is no way to answer that this far out with so few players signed for 2010.In theory we could have up to $45m in cap space that year more likely we might not even have enough to offer a max deal to anyone.

If we resign Miller and McCants, and then bring over Pekovic, we'll hardly have any cap space at all.

I will once again pimp Hoopus for salary cap info: http://www.canishoopus.com/pages/contract-info

But, ShamSports also has great stuff if you don't like us: http://www.shamsports.com/content/pages ... wolves.jsp

I seriously caution everyone against using HoopsHype. They're not terribly well-respected amongst cap nerds.
Hear me now, and believe me later, and think about it sometime, but make a note of it now - visit www.canishoopus.com
