Now that Baron has opted out, trade Kidd!

Post#1 » by your_dallas_mavericks » Tue Jul 1, 2008 8:10 pm

Oh my goodness, it just came to me while sitting here in my office. Nellie resurrected Baron's career, he would think he could do the same with Kidd's. But how? Kidd costs a bloody fortune...

It involves a few trades.

Trade #1

J. Kidd

for

S. Jackson
Mickael Pietrus S&T
Matt Barnes S&T
Andris Biedrins S&T

----------------------------

Trade #2
R. Felton
G. Wallace

for

J. Howard
J. Stackhouse

-----------------------------

Trade #3
George S&T
Wright S&T
Jones S&T
Wright S&T

for

Diop
Boone
Draft Rights to CDR
2010 1st round pick (ours not theirs)

R. Felton/Terry/Lowry
S. Jackson/Mickael Pietrus/Foster
G. Wallace/Matt Barnes/CDR
Dirk/Boone/Pops
Andris Biedrins/Damp/Diop

This is a team that could win it all. The talent, the depth is unbelievable.
If we could just close games with Luka, Kyrie, Green, Maxi, and Wood that'd be great...

That is like way too much. And you would be lucky if even 5% of that goes down. Diop and Matt Barnes are the only people outta all those ppl i see the Mavs acquiring since they are sayin the Mavs are plannin to keep Howard now

Trade 1: Golden State won't even give up Biedrins for Kidd, much less Biedrins, Jackson, Pietrus, and Barnes.

Trade 2: We get more talent coming back, but Wallace's injury problems scare me. I doubt Charlotte does it though.

Trade 3: Why would they give us all of that for our junk?

Awful.

Golden State would laugh in our face.
Charlotte might do it, but its unlikely
New Jersey wouldnt even trade the 2010 draft pick for that.

we could always trade kidd for baron if we wanted him. i could see nelly using kidd for year or two to train monta ellis and kidd is from oakland. of course, lets pretend they arent offering a max contract to Arenas like the rumors are saying.

I honestly should hang my head in shame over this one. Sometimes you look back at what you posted a few minutes afterwards and say, "how could I be so freakin' stupid?" I apologize. We all have brain farts. Let's just say I stunk up the place. My apologies. I will think twice, maybe three times before doing that again. Embarrassment doesn't describe it...

Were not offering a max contract, it's a smoke screen.

We'd do Josh Howard / Kidd for Baron and Harrington, but would you?
