He wanted an extension and he's finding out that he's not going to get one.

It's dumb of him to say it, but you know that he won't slack off, he'll play hard no matter how unhappy he is.

Right that's what I was going to say. The only person I knew who did that was Jewish. Did Ron convert or something?
I like the Idea of Ron signing for the MLE and making up the money by rapping though. If somebody whispered that in his ear he might try to do it. that would be great. You could probably already get your money back for that album by selling it on EBay right now, it's got to be a collector's item. There were alot fewer of those sold than his rookie card.

Ron probably does get traded at some point during the upcoming season. I have mixed feelings about him accept his player option but I do believe it's going to work out for him after the upcoming season.

I've seen some of my evangelical Christian friends do it... so who knows about Ron.

Ron is on the radio right now. More than anything it sounds like he just wanted to be locked up long term, and he felt that way in particular because of how certain players have been locked up very early.

Re: Ron Artest is indeed a CRAZY man
I expect some sort of music release from Ron about this, no doubt he will need time off from this upcoming season to promote it.
Possible tracks:
My Ball Don't Bounce For The MLE
I Like It Long Term
No Brains, No Money
I Can't Find My Future
Life Is A Flagrant Foul (duet with ESPN's Stuart Scott)
Lick My Stats
My Locker Room, My Chaos
Stern Is The Devil

Ron is not in the team's future plans. He will be traded this summer, or at the deadline.

Artest Sends E-Mail Apology To Kings
Ron Artest sent an e-mail apology out to the Kings on Monday just one week after expressing regret over his decision not to opt out and enter free agency, according to The Sacramento Bee.
"I do apologize for being mistakenly frustrated with the Kings," Artest wrote in the e-mail. "It was a mistake that I made and I will move on from."
Apparently, Artest believed that remaining in Sacramento this season would give him the chance to sign a long-term, lucrative extension, but the team reportedly isn't interested in giving him that kind of contract.
"I had wrong info about extension options and it could have cost me a new deal," Artest wrote. "I was informed that the Kings had me in their long-term plans, so that's why I decided to stay in contract. I just wanted to show loyalty."
"However, when I spoke to the Kings, that was not an option and I grew frustrated with my decision immediately," he added.
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:
"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

He'll get over it soon, and realize how it's going to be (again), until he's possibly traded at the deadline, or after this coming season. I don't have much doubt he's going to go elsewhere after this season.
Indeed.
Apology accepted my man (at least from me).

How unexpected

Ron is only sorry he didn't get his lucrative contract. It is all about Ron, always was about Ron, and always will be about Ron. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results.

No he's upset that he didn't get his extension, and most players would be, if they thought it was coming. He's sorry for how the situation unfolded. But then again, I guess your version where you put words into his mouth does suit your clear dislike for him more, so whatever floats your boat.
And what exactly is he doing over and over again? Not opting out? He did that once.

Yes, and went directly to the media and whined about it. It has nothing to do with the Kings, everything to do with Ron.
mitchweber wrote:He's sorry for how the situation unfolded.
I'm sure he is. Because all he's doing is making it harder for the Kings to trade him, further away from his contractual goals.
mitchweber wrote:But then again, I guess your version where you put words into his mouth does suit your clear dislike for him more, so whatever floats your boat.
Of course, if Ron homers are willing to give Artest a Carte Blanche to do whatever the **** he wants, only to have aforementioned homers come running and swearing on their mothers that Artest is really loyal and wouldn't do it again, I won't stand in your way.
mitchweber wrote:And what exactly is he doing over and over again? Not opting out? He did that once.
You would think that he would stop emailing the media every time he has a random thought pop into his head. You would think that he would keep a low profile for once. But no, he loves his name in the paper.
I am done defending Ron Artest.
