Sterling will shell out money if he believes he'll get an economic return out of it. Baron is from LA and will put butts in the seat because of that. So Sterling was willing to pay up. Remember when they wooed Kobe? Same reason- he would've put butts in seats.

Anyone putting Shaun LIvingston on their depth chart is crazy. He cannot be counted on whatsoever. And Thornton won't start, he'll come off the bench. Their bench will have:

Bigs: Fazekas, Powell
Wings: Thomas, Ross
Guards: Knight, Gordon

Of those guys, Powell is okay, Thomas is a dud, Fazekas might turn into a good player, Ross is a nice 7th/8th guy, and Knight is a solid backup point. I think the bench will hinge on Eric Gordon. If he can step in right away and be a scorer off the bench to help offset the loss of Maggette, then the Clips will look WAY better IMO.

I still think even with Davis and Brand signed up, they are still another big man short. They need a wide body to play some tough D at center.

The Golden State Warriors = Owned

Seriously, how could they let this happen? Terrible management, that's probably why they've made the playoffs once out of what, 15-16 years?

Anyone who watched the last GS playoff game this year...and saw Don Nelson BENCH Davis for the 4th quarter, could've guessed something like this might happen....Unless the Warriors front office missed that game.
