Trade Hixon and Wally for S Jax

GS has major cap space with the Baron opt out. Hixon seems to be a player who could play the GS uptempo style. Your team is in a win now mode.

So deal is Hixon and Wally for Stephen Jackson exp in 2 years.
You would also get immediate cap space saving about 14 mil in luxury tax and would get an exemption which is over the MLE which could be used to aquire players for the playoff stretch run.

ummmmm. no

Why would we trade hickson who the cavs have high hopes for/our biggest trading asset in wallys contract for jackson...........

wally is a big expiring, why would we care if jackson expires in 2 years....

Nope..

AV will be the one traded, not Hickson...

Hickson would be a college sophmore and 3rd string PF or Center this year. A bigger trade exemption is generated when you use the rookie.

I don't see the need for Jackson at all. He really doesn't fit with the Cavs. The reason that the Cavs took Hickson is that they needed a young big. Trading him for Jackson would completely defeat the point.

No.

Jackson is one of those character risk guys who also had a run in with Lebron when he played in Atlanta -- Not a good fit.

Yea the only thing he might be good for is punching a fan in the face for calling bron overrated, or teaching the whole team how to pistol whip someone in the club.....

Naw but seriously that just aint a good trade for us.........

He's a great player, but isn't he pretty much a SF? I think he'd definitely be a big upgrade from Wally & Hickson these next 2 years (and it's nice he expires in 2010....there's a good reason he mentioned that, people....our goal is to have max space in 2010), but I just don't know that he's the best fit we'd get for Wally + others. And like people already said, I'm pretty positive the Cavs want to develop Hickson, unless he's part of a package in which we get an already established big man. Obviously you have to give up your assets to get good players (well, usually), but Hickson is a guy I don't see the Cavs quitting on before we even see him in aciton.

I'd do a Eric Snow/Anderson varajao/2nd rd pick for SJax and Al Harrington.

I actually think SJax fits as well as anyone we looked at. Tall guard/forward with superb defense on wings, ballhandling and capable of creating offense(for himself and others), shoots three real well, scores 20 a game. Expires in 2010 with the rest of our players for 2010 free agent market. Wanted to be traded to the East last trade deadline and now that GS is rebuilding(I'm certain he wants to play for a contender) they rid their two big contracts and get AV(a player they looked to add before plus a pick{late}).

All we gotta do is keep him out of Indiana, strip clubs, and away from Jamal Tinsley.Hopefully he can teach Pavs some heart.

SJax has misleading stats playing in Nellie-Ball. Put him in our offense and he'll become a James Posey-type player.

I'd rather look elsewhere and certainly wouldn't trade Hickson yet.

We don't even know what we have yet, he could suck or end up being a strong Paul Milsap type player. Not worth trading him unless we are getting a proven big back IMO.

Actually Wally and AV and 2nd for SJax and Al. But we keep Hickson and get help at need positions.

And yes I understand Nellie ball but They had three 20 ppg scorers so he will get just as many touches even in our slow down offense, he did good in Indy and Atl slowed pace offenses as well.

We drafted Hickson to replace AV, so we aren't going to trade Hickson. SJax would still be a solid offensive player for us, but he wouldn't be able to give us 20 a night because that was just a product of the run and gun system. AV will be traded this summer or by the trading deadline.
