:D

Philly got lucky this year. Why is everybody on Toronto so hard, they were the worst playoff team in the east. And adding an aging, injury prone JO is supposed to make them Contenders

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

Why are people including Atlanta? Bibby sucks and Smith is going to Philly.

Not necesarily contenders, but a lock to make the playoffs. Also, Toronto is expecting the addition of some sort of swingman, we don't know exactly who yet, but according to Colangelo, that position is likely to be upgraded, and so people are not only going on the addition of JO. However, even so I still disagree with your perspective of him. Jermaine Oneal has even said himself that he is ready to get back to him old self and establish himself in the league again. I also think that people are overating his injury situation. I know he only played 42 games but even JO admitted that if he needed to play he could have. It was a career decision he made, and given the fact that he wanted to be traded and Indiana was gonna try and move him, it was a good opportunity for him to just relax and fully heal altogether.

He and TJ turned a 27 win Raptors team into a 47 win division champions, just imagine what they will do in Indy. The pacers won 37 last year, so I'm guessing they will win 57++ and be competing with Boston for the Eastern Conference Championship.

Wow, you have to be hands down the most biggest homer on realgm. Without a doubt, unless of course you weren't really serious about them winning 57 games and competing with Boston for the Eastern Conference Championship. Otherwise, you're a pretty crazy mofo.

1. Boston - will saunter to 60 wins if there are no injuries
2. Detroit - Pistons have Amir Johnson waiting in the wings.
3. Orlando - I like what Orlando have in Hedo, Shard and Dwight
4. Miami - will challenge for division honors
5. Toronto - JO/Bosh/Caldy will be a great trio if healthy;
6. Cleveland - LeBron.
7. Chicago - don't expect immediate results
8. Milwaukee - if Skiles has everyone on the same page...

9. Philadelphia - attack me for this, but IMO they overachieved in 07-08.
10. Washington - Big 3? Can't even win 50 games. Not even 45? Not a recipe for success IMO.
11. Atlanta - no fairytale
12. Charlotte - Augustin wasn't the right pick. Just won't stay healthy unfortunately
13. New York - D'Antoni doesn't have the right mix of players.
14. New Jersey - they'll win about 30.
15. Indiana - sad for them.

The Sixers weren't lucky they just played terrific basketball the 2nd half of the season. When our young guys started to emerge they had quality wins over most of the top echelon teams in the league. Right now we are a bubble team for the playoffs but we'll see what happens with free agency.

That's nice. I don't see the Atlanta Timekeepers getting you guys in the playoffs this year either.

Bibby is declining and is one of the worst defensive players in the league. Your starting lineup consists of two SF's and a PF. Yeah, the Hawks had a fluke series against Boston that went 7, but that had more to do with the Celtics just playing bad and Doc Rivers coaching terribly.

People are giving the Hawks too much credit, they're not that good. They barely snuck in the playoffs last year and they could potentially lose one of Childress or Smith. Not to mention they have probably the worst bench in the NBA.

Back in the lottery for the Hawks.

It's too early to make any conclusions with all the player movement going on, but one team I don't see making it are the Bulls (with their current roster). They were a bad offensive team last year and could potentially lose their best offensive player in Gordon in free agency. They are looking at an entire new coaching staff and a rookie point guard. Their PF/C consists of a bunch of young energy guys who Paxon has fallen in love with and Larry Hughes is still on the team. They CLEARLY had chemistry and playing time issues last year.

The Hawks snuck in the playoffs, while the Raptors stunk in the playoffs. You cant win an NBA championship with an abundence of foreign players.

We have more American players than international players. In fact, the Spurs have more international players than we do. Do your homework next time before spewing out trash out of your ass. By the way, the Hawks "snuck" in the playoffs like you said, but you can't possibly tell me that Boston was playing the Hawks up to their potential that they played other teams in the playoffs. Oh yeah, by the way the Hawks will suck again this year.

It's odd a Hawks fan would be criticizing another team for having too many "inexperienced guys" considering the Hawks have had nothing but inexperienced guys for the past 5 years.

I don't understand why some of you guys are rating the Raptors so highly, they lost a top 10pg (Raptors fan claim this, not me) for a player who missed a majority of last year. Until I see what the effects of the injuries JO had i'm not rating them anything higher then they were last year.

1. Celts, if they get Maggs I will be really really pissed.
2. Pistons, every year everyone says they are over the hill. I won't believe it until I see it with my own eyes. Plus it looks like they have some young guys who can step in.
3. Magic, No major losses and a big possibility of landing Maggs. He has told numerous friends he wants the Magic to make a competitive offer (He played there, plus his family still lives there).
4. Cavs, man I hope bron gets some help soon. If not watch him bolt
5. Wiz, they could move up if everyone comes back healthly
6. Raptors, could move up if JO still has an A game left
7. Phili
8. Chicago
