maybe that was one of the reasons they decided to get rid of Love. They knew that their Gay-Love just wouldn't work out

Gay Mayo has an interesting ring to it.

No homo.

Lol. Gay Love was funny tho. Too bad McFail had to ruin that one.

funny guy.....hustle does not equate to defense. Karl hasn't proved anything, he's a jobber! Karl has no experience, wait i'm sorry...he has like 5 games of D-League experience....lol. I never knew playing in the D-League makes u experienced.

i never knew being a rookie meant you were a seasoned nba vet, crawford doesn't have any experience either

You may be right Corvus...All I know is these native Detroit, MI cats, seem to come with a toughness.

As far as Joe C I was basing that on watching his gameplay on a ton of you tube video's, experts opinions, and input from UK fans, that's where my scouting began and ended, lol. Carl is a nice player, but more of a shooter, you gotta root for a kid like that...I'm just saying Joe Crawford looks like a keeper, a scorer off the bench, that can get his own shot, can drive, and get to the foul line. We need cats that aren't afraid to take it to the hole.

Gay Love never happened.
Gay Head never happened.

Now let's hope Gay Mayo sticks.

Dude, I like his game a lot. But he hasn't met Kobe yet. Kobe could either demoralize him or motivate him. And we know Kobe and how he is.

What is this the improv?, the Gay Love post was funny, but enough already. The rest of you are like bad SNL skit, hammering the same joke until it's so unfunny you change the channel.

Sorry to tell you, but youtube videos and homer opinions arent enough to calculate the magnitude (or lack of) a player will have in the NBA.

Case-in-point:

"A very sweet offensive player"
"He's a great shooter whose gotten better every year that he's played"
"A left-hander who is very skilled to watch (wtf? lol)"
"A very bright player"
"He came in every year and had a tremendous work ethic"
"The guy was the player of the year"
"Winner of both the Wooden and Naismith awards last season"
"I think I am extremely well coordinated. I have teh athletic talent. I have the foot speed.
"He's a winner.. we know that".
"He wants the ball for the big shots".
"He has incredible character".
"We know his game is dynamite from the foul-line down."
"Might be the best pro prospect out of his college since Isiah Thomas"

Who am I describing?

No, not Michael Jordan. Not Lebron James. Not Kobe Bryant, or even Larry Bird.

Yup, you guessed it, Calbert Cheaney.

BTW, Slava Medvedenko had a mix up on youtube (since removed) where he looked like a reincarnation of Sabonis.

My earlier post on the other thread:

"Sounds like a Phil triangle backup guard - unselfish, good passer, shooter, plays hard, court sense.
Maybe he'll make it since the Lakers are thin at guard with only Kobe, Fish, and Farmar under guaranteed contract at both spots.

edit - maybe the Lakers were scouting him at the tourney. He dropped 35 on Marquette in Kentucky's loss in ANAHEIM."

I like the looks of this guy.

I listened to an interview with Crawford and he's certainly got the right mentality. Seems to be a smart and dedicated guy. Said one of his strengths is that he can create really well for others, something he didn't get to showcase much in college due to his scoring prowess. Is there a video of this kid?

Thanks. I heard Mitch say they expected him to go at 35 or so. Maybe we got ourselves a sleeper. the guy played four years in college? He should be very close to being NBA ready in his first year.

I rather have picked up Joey Crawford. Atleast then, we could be like D-Wade and have a Referee on our team.

There has been very little discussion over the guy since draft day, so I dont see why not.
