Lynch Visiting Next Week

This doesn't mean much. Hell, Hawk never came to Green Bay before we drafted him. But it's Packer news anyway. :)

Yeah well there goes that whole smoke screen that was out there early on which made it seem like TT didn't have much interest in Lynch. I am not sure whether this is good or bad at this point in time since half of what these GM's do at this point is BS smoke screens and the other half is due to real interest.

MD is right ... these visits usually mean jack squat. In fact, these visits have sort of turned into:

If the Packers have a guy visit, that must mean they're interested. Unless ... they really are just trying to distract us from who they're really interested in. But then again, maybe they know that we know that they know we know.

You know?

Yup this is the time of year for smokescreens, false rumors planted by teams and a lot of hocus pocus.

Interesting point that TT mentioned about the visits ... he said that their visits are usually with players that either have injury related or off-the-field problems ... that it's about due-dilligence, not just more "gettin' to know you" meetings with players they would likely draft.

Soooo ... Lynch definitely fits the bill on both ends (injury and off-the-field) ... hopefully it's just TT doing his homework.

By the way, I still can't get over that picture that someone once posted of Mike Sherman asleep in the stands at the NFL combine. That totally changed my impression of him. That is THE MOST IMPORTANT TIME OF THE YEAR for a GM. Yikes. No wonder he picked Ahmad Carroll.

I think there's a ham sandwich stuck between his 8th and 9th chins.

I love that picture. And people wonder why our drafts were so bad in the Sherman era
