Well lets see: he played for us in the past and expressed his interest in returning. He owns a home and his parents live here. His wife is Puertorican and member of the national basketball team in PR, PR is alot closer to Orlando than Boston. Our team has the best center in the league and a bright future.

I agree but are all these that you mentioned enough to compare with a proven ring?

No, and that is why so many experts like Chad Ford see Corey going to a team other then the Magic.

I said many experts and just mentioned Ford's name as an example. As of now no one except people posting on forums supporting the Magic seem to think Corey is coming back to Orlando. The main reason Orlando doesn't have enough money to offer him to stay.

This update on Corey and you are not going to like it:

According to multiple reports this morning Maggette will, indeed, wind up in the Texas Triangle, and he could very well turn out to be the piece that gets his new team a championship. If all goes according to plan, Maggette will finally join the San Antonio Spurs, who were very much in love with him a couple of seasons ago when his last contract came up.

If this is true then Otis will have a lot of explaining to do. He will need to try and give a good reason to the fanbase why a former player, who wanted to come back home, and who would fill a position of need, took the same amount of money that the Magic could give him to stay in the more competitive West.

people here are already trying to explain that to you. But apparently some of you think the magic are the basketball mecca of the nba and we hould have no problem in signing whoever we want. Its laughable around here sometimes.

How many times are you going to post the same thing? We know already, its speculation no better than any of the rest of us are doing. How about posting how many times the Nets called MP while your at it too? 10 right? Believe what you want, but none of us know what is going to happen, mmmkay? Your turning into one negatively obsessed fan cougar.

She doesn't want the Magic to sign another shooting guard because of J.J. One of the same reasons she didn't want them to draft Courtney Lee.

Regardless, you've got to call it a long shot for the Magic to land Maggette anyway. It could be that they are getting vibes that he might do something else. ESPN is reporting it like he's a lock to the Spurs if he doesn't go for more money with Philly or Golden State. At the very least, he could hold up any free-agent plans at all for a while. You've got to figure that he will wait to see what happens with the Sixers and Warriors and their cap space. And also at least meet with the Spurs, too. And who knows how many other teams that also could offer him the midlevel?

If you wait too long to make any moves at all, you could miss out on a lot of guys waiting on him -- and then you might not end up with him anyway. And then, I imagine, the Magic would hear about it from you guys, too.

Actually I am stating the obvious when it comes to Corey and Pietrus as another has posted we just are not the big city nor big team compared to the Spurs and Nets.
And spinedoc I am not being negative just stating what has been published almost everywhere you just want to ignore it to fit your mindset but that is your right, but calling someone negative because they don't post what you want to see is just ...............so get over it because I am not going to change to fit what you want just not going to happen.

No I'm not ignoring anything, we have rumors put out on both sides of the issue, but lets remember that it is just rumor and speculation. You have been posting things as if they are facts and without a link many times to help prove your position. I don't mind someone pointing out that there is another source with another opinion, but you seem to take it further beyond that for some reason. What does it mean that a free agent got 10 calls from one team anyway? Sure it suggests that a team if very interested, but it could also mean that that player doesn't have the same interest in going there because it wouldn't take 10 calls to persuade him. If anything it shows that the player has very little interest in going there then. Just keep rumors as rumors and facts as facts and you won't have as much of a problem with people calling you out so much on it. I'm not trying to get you to agree with me, just countering your supposed fact based posting when there are none to be found, thats all cougar.

As I have already said if you don't like how I post then don't read them. BTW you seem really upset that the possibility if Corey doesn't sign with the Magic and my posting that other teams have a better chance of getting is so bad that I should just shut up. Sounds like you are more out of control then anyone here.

No one told you to shut up cougar. Just don't like people posting speculation as if it were fact is all, and spamming every thread with it, but I guess that makes me the one out of control, huh?
