Regardless of how you feel about the trades made recently, you have to acknowledge that the difference between the attitude of the franchise today and one year ago is like night and day. I'd venture to say that if you told us, as a group, as little as a month ago that we'd have Ford, Rush, Hibbert, Jack, and some future financial freedom, that it would probably be beyond most of our hopes.

If (once) they move Tinsley, I think this franchise will have moved farther towards a turn around than I believed possible for this, or perhaps any summer.

I definitely agree with everything that you've said. The climate of the team couldn't be much different than it was at this same time last year. I think Rush and Hibbert are going to be two very welcome additions who turn out to be productive players and quality people as well. Both guys seem to have their heads firmly glued on their shoulders. I could see Hibbert being our version of Desgana Diop. That might not excite a lot of people, but the defense that he brings down low is going to be something we haven't had since the Jermaine of about 4 years ago.

Haha, except almost none of those guys compare at all to the guys you're comparing them. Hibbert isn't much of a Smits, but more of a defensive force. Smits was serviceable defensively, but held his weight offensively. Ford is a quick guard. Jackson, is nowhere near. Granger is a slasher and much more of a long-range specialist than McKey ever was. Both are solid perimeter defenders though.

But you have to admit, "Rush Hour" isn't half bad.

2009-Year of Hope

I'd chastise the Rush-Miller comparisons, but the kid kinda brought it on himself. It's like Kobe saying, "I wanna be the next Jordan".

Also, Rush Hour would have to be the 4th quarter only, because given the lengths of the games today, the fourth quarter sometimes lasts an hour. It's so obnoxious.
