Nenad Krstic anyone?

Post#1 » by lukeridenour » Thu Jul 3, 2008 7:21 pm

If the maggette thing does indeed fall through, should we go after krstic? spurs fo went after krstic heavily when he was a rookie, could they still be interested now?

Pros:
good offensive player, good shooter, good in the post, underrated rebounder.

Cons: defensive is average, major injury.

or... is there a chance we get magette AND krstic?

I wouldn't mind taking a chance on him. We still need another defender or two up front, though.

Phil J and the LAkers disregarded Oberto's offense and routinely left him open. Can't do that with Nenad but doesn't he have health issues.

How much would he cost?

Can't really tell if he's back to his previous self after the injury. FG% dropped from .526 to .41.

The guy however plays with a lot of heart and isn't afraid of taking the shot when it matters.

Spurs should get him if he's a bargain. In fact, between Thomas and Krstic, I'll go for Krstic. He's taller and potentially shoots at a higher percentage.

Also, if we can get Charlie Villanueva as a replacement for Horry, then that'll be a steal.

I like the guy who is balding faster than Rasho, I wouldn't mind the Spurs giving him the MLE if we can't get Maggette but I still think we need to address our aging wings.

I'll be disappointed if we waste our MLE on an injury prone big man who hasn't recovered yet..

we need a swingman MUCH more than we need a big..

I'd rather split it on a 2nd-tier FA wing, and sign a big man or another wing.
