July 2nd signings (UPDATED*)

Post#1 » by Jerryd Bayless » Wed Jul 2, 2008 6:47 pm

* INF Giancarlo Arias
* C/3B Jackson Valera
* OF Ramon Flores
* RF Yeico Calderon
* SS Anderson Felix

Calderon was ranked #7 in Baseball America
Arias was ranked #9 in Baseball America
Flores was ranked #11 in Baseball America

That's 3 Top 15 already and 70% of them have yet to be signed. :)

Pretty good so far, these scouts know what they're doing. Usually the unexpected guy becomes the big star in the league. These are 16 year olds, it's impossible to judge how they will pan out in the upcoming years.

ALSO - Inoa has yet to sign with the Athletics, we still have a shot at him. I'm hearing some other teams are throwing more money at him now. Just throw 6 million at him, Cash, c'mon.

Does anyone have more info on these guys and how they project? I like a top 15 talent all day, but more info would be nice.

The guy who was in charge of trying to get Inoa to the Yankees has been fired. Coincidence? I think now.
