One big thing I dislike about the Seattle/OKC thing

Post#1 » by Yoshi2kx » Fri Jul 4, 2008 8:08 am

Is when morons who know little to absolutely NOTHING attempt to say things like this

"Boohoo. A city that didn't give a crap about their team lost it. A city that had one of the lowest attendances won't get to attend. A city that voted against building a new stadium will lose their team to a city that will gladly upgrade a 5 year old stadium. A city that has had 3 major league franchises for decades is losing one to a state that has never had the opportunity to have one. I'm having trouble feeling sorry for a city that could have easily kept their team had they cared to."

Can anyone tell me what's wrong with this message?

One big thing that most people are ignorant about the Sonics fans were that "They didn't care because at the attendance" but they couldn't be more wrong.

Key Arena can only hold a little over 17,000 fans, unlike most arenas now days which seat up to 18, 19, or maybe even more than 20,000

2006-2007
15,955 93.9

2005-2006
16,198 95.3

2004-2005
16,475 96.9

2003-2004
15,255 92.0

2002-2003
15,541 91.0

So as you can clearly see, the Seattlites loved their sonics despite multiple mediocre seasons and being lead by stupid management.

The only real "Drop off" was it's last season, where Bennett sabotaged it.

This particular user also clearly didn't know that Bennett demanded a 500 million dollar arena ALL from the public and wouldn't even accept a 300 million renovation project, but accepts a much cheaper renovation project from OKC, wtf?

It's ignorant users like this that truly do disgust me.

A new thread was definitely needed for this topic.

A new thread plus it means the move is in jeopardy as well.

Move on, people. You lost.

Kurt Cobain has turned all of your Seattlites into a bunch of self-pitying emos.

Can the Cavs sneak into the playoffs?

The thing I don't understand is why Stern attempt to make an expansion team for Oklahoma?
