that's even worse than your other Diener trade. why are you trying to dump him? he's a nice energy guy with a very low salary.

I disagree with that as I have said on here before. He does do a good job in terms of handling the ball, and not turning it over, I will give him that much. But the fact of the matter is that he was brought in to shoot, and he didn't do that at all. He might have also been our worst perimeter defender, which is saying A LOT. I would be happy if Diener never saw many significant minutes, but I am sure I am in the minority here. I see a lot of fans really like him.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO! I realize we have to do a two for one deal somewhere along the lines or eat a contract, but we actually increase payroll here for a guy with problems in his knee and his head. We've worked all summer trying to get rid of both. I hate Murphy as much as the next guy and love the idea of moving him, but that's mostly because of his contract. If he had a better contract and Obie would stop pretending like he deserved a lot of minutes I'd be fine with him. Moving him for a guy with a worse contract and the whiniest (sp?) attitude in the NBA is not a reasonable solution.

I do like reading through trades that are possible, even if they're not probable. I don't play on trade checker a lot because I get sick of messing with BYC and that crap, so I appreciate reading your proposals. I can't speak for the whole board, but I would think it would help if you collaborated them all into a smaller number of threads and title each one with a common theme for the trades, such as moving Tinsley, moving Murphy, reducing roster size, etc. It just makes it easier to go through quickly and it doesn't bump other topics off the board. They don't generally generate a bunch of responses unless there's rumors going around about them, so it shouldn't get too big to navigate. Just a suggestion. Thanks for posting regularly, though! When I joined 3 years ago this board was very active and stayed that way for a long time. Recently, though, it's died down a lot so it's nice to see so many new people coming in and giving the board a little more life!

Thanks, that makes sense. You know I have read on this board for more than 3 years but finally joined this year to post. This is the first time I have been "cautiously optomistic" in stead of "exciditedly delisounal" :D

K-Mart might have the worst contract in the league. I think he's a slightly better player than Murphy, and I think in our offense and with T.J. running the team he could at least partially regain his New Jersey form, but I can't see management taking on his humongous salary. Especially not with his injury history.

No that honor is held by a Mr Zach Randolph of New York.

If we were to deal for KMart the only way I'd ever take him is to send JT and Murphy. But to be sure we are not adding salary any where. A deal for JT will come along in it's own time.

I'd pass, and use the RealGM Trade Checker...you Benedict Arnold.

If it's Murphy and Tinsley, yes. Otherwise, no.

I would love to. Unfortunatley, it is not even close to being up to date. I imagine they will update it soon.

Same for me.

I'd then hope to follow up with a Daniels/Williams for Bargnani/Graham trade.

That'd leave us with a lineup like:

Ford/Jack/Diener
Dunleavy/Rush/SGraham
Granger/Rush/JGraham
Martin/Bargnani/Baston/McRoberts
Foster/Rasho/Hibbert

To me, that's a well balanced lineup with speed, defense, long-range shooting, and a lot of versatility.

I agree Scoot, that would be a pretty good lineup
