Who is YOUR coach
Ok, this will probably get a lot of Belichick answers and jokes, haha, yea, hilarious...
Anyway, You just bought a team, you are your own GM as of now, you get to make draft decisions, and player personnel moves, unless you decide to hand that authority to someone else.
You get to interview every coach in the NFL (or college if you prefer), who is the coach you go with? Who's philosophy meshes the best with your own, who do you want leading your locker room?
I'll give my answer later, I just find it interesting that so many people have so many different ideas.... so who ya got?

If I can't go with Bill Cowher I'll happily take Jeff Fisher.

I'll take the winningest coach in Division I-A bowl games. I've never seen anyone turn around a program, pro or college, like Barry Alvarez.

I'll take the best coach in the Big12, Bob Stoops.

Re: Who is YOUR coach
why are people choosing college coaches? this Q is for your nfl team, not your favorite college team
anyways id probably choose out of current coaches bellichick, if i get to pick 1 defensive coordinator, i like wade phillips agressive style especially in the 3-4. if i chose to go with a 4-3 i love jim johnson's agressive blitzing style from philadelphia

Re: Who is YOUR coach
if my team is short on talent then i definitely choose jeff fischer, he's never had that talented a team, im curious if he had a ton of talent if they'd surpass expectations or if he'd do mediocre

I want Mike Tomlin, I like his philosophies, I like how he's a hard ass, yet the players still love him, he seems wonderful for a locker room, he's young and innovative and he has a good grasp on things.

Fischer and Tomlin would be fun...I'm a fan of Tony Dungy as well. Maybe not the greatest coach, per se, but for practically the model coach-as-guiding-light in the NFL I could see myself thriving under him.
I'd love to meet the masochistic sap who picks Jon Gruden.

I like Jon Gruden. He at least makes for good training camp footage.
But I kind of like a lot of the inexperienced coaches in the league. Mike Tomlin, Ken Wisenhut, John Harbaugh, Sean Payton and my favorite Rod Marinelli.
I wanted to include Jason Garrett since he's a H.C. but I don't want to offend the Wade "Bum's Son" Phillip fans.

Shout out to Jack Del Rio. I like how tough he is and how physical his team plays.

Re: Who is YOUR coach
My Head Coach is Bill Belichick. I'm not sure any other coach wins more than one Super Bowl with the hands he's been dealt.
My OC is either Brian Billick or Mike Holmgren. I can't honestly decide, but I heart Billick more.
My DC is Jim Johnson, but only because Dick Lebeau is too old. I love attacking schemes that generate pressure up the gut.

It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

Re: Who is YOUR coach
I honestly think that Belichick is the greatest coach of all time, so I tried to not go with him, that would be too easy.
I agree with NC, but Sean Payton really disappointed me this past year. His first year I really liked the innovation, and how much balls he had to try some things, but we also had karma on our team, and it seemed like every bounce went our way. This last year, he seemed to be trying to force fancy things like double reverses on 4th and 1, instead of just doing the smart play. He got way too cute this year, and his running schemes blow.

Or the botched double reverse with Henderson and Bush against the Bucs when we had the lead with 3 minutes left. I think it's just part of the learning curb for him.

I'd go with Steve Spagnuolo. He's young and I love his aggressive schemes. I think he's gonna be the next Giants coordinator to become a great HC (Landry, Lombardi, Belichick, Crennel, Fox, Payton (one year out of two so far), and to a lesser degree Coughlin and Weiss (I think he'll get back to his first year success)).

Re: Who is YOUR coach
The obvious choice would be Belichick.
But, if I couldn't get him, I'd probably take Jeff Fisher. My offensive coordinator would be Holmgren and my defensive coordinator would be Pepper Johnson. Man's long overdue for a DC position.

Taking away the obvious Belly boy:
Head Coach: Mike Holmgren/Andy Reid - Reid is here only if I was only going to get a year out of Mike.
Offensive Coordinator: Bobby April - Absolutely love the energy this guy brings. I'd go Head Coach if I he had any Coordinator experience, but I'd be pleased with him running my offense.
Defensive Coordinator: Mike Smith - Love what the guy did for the Jaguars and I think Del Rio gets too much credit for what that defense is.
