NBA Summer League

Post#1 » by Badd_Intentions » Wed Jul 2, 2008 9:54 pm

Looks like our first game is Saturday July 12th against the Clips, we should be getting a peak at Eric Gordon.

Here's the full schedule
http://www.nba.com/media/summerleague20 ... r_NewW.pdf

Always exciting to see how the rooks look, I hope Ajinca will play, I want to see him more than DJ b/c he is such an unknown commodity to us.

Anyone have any info on our summer roster, I hear we have Guillermo Diaz from Miami.

Well I don't think we should be interested in Guillermo Diaz, there is too much controversy about this guy. I don't think he would fit in. (check his wikipedia page).

I think Clippers draftees are good match up for us - Ajinca should destroy Jordan once again and we could see how defender Weaver really is seeing him guarding Gordon. I'm excited.

Some info from Clippers' board:
mkwest wrote:I'm not sure who'll end up on the roster but atm it looks like it'll play out like:

VeryLikely:
C: Paul Davis/DeAndre Jordan
PF: Nick Fazekas
SF: Al Thornton
SG: Eric Gordon/Marcus Williams
PG: Mike Taylor

Probable:
Josh Powell

Possible:
Jamont Gordon
Davon Jefferson

Unlikely:
Shaun Livingston

I was really hoping that Shaun would be ready and able to play this summer, but since his participation in contact drills have been limited the chances of him going all out in 2 weeks is very slim. I still hope that he attends and is able to build a rapport with some of the new guys though.

Yes, maybe but he has a history of not so flashing decision contract-wise.

Yea fat, the kid can flat out score, I don't remember how many times he scorched my beloved wolfpack in the ACC. He has done very well in Europe and in the D-League. I'm sure he's hungry to prove he belongs as I'm not sure he wants to go back overseas to play from reading his wiki, and we're as good a team as any for him to make his mark with.

When he was at Miami he had the green light to pretty much shoot when he wanted to, he'll have to work on his shot selection for sure under Brown, but I think he shot close to 50% in the d-league so maybe he's been working on it, we'll see in another week or so i guess.

Athletic forward Othello Hunter will play on the Bobcats Summer League team. Started playing organized ball in his jr year of hs! Lots of potential, good defender. Started alongside Oden at OSU.

I like Othella Hunter a lot. He plays with a lot of energy and is super athletic.

He reminds me a lot of Crash.

LOL.... i wouldnt trade you my 5th round pick in 2016 for that package of hacks from that tainted so-called institution of higher learning.

a man must have standards, and my standards are set right above anything from ohio state.

Ain't Tamar Slay like 40 years old? What the hell is he doing on a summer league roster?
