I'd like to see him go to Houston. They could use the scoring help.

I'd rather not see him go to the Spurs (even though he's leaning that way) or the Celtics. Both of those teams are too good.

Well he can't be going to Dallas because we just spent the full MLE on a guy who averages 3 and 5 instead.

Utah. Both their bigs are jumpshooters so they could use a wing at their weakest position (SG) to mix it up in the lane and try and draw some fouls.

I think it's the Spurs pretty easily..the ONLY flaw we have is the offensive droughts, which is in relation to lack of variety in the offense and old age..Maggette is a slasher, so he gives us a new dimension, and he's younger than most of our players..

there's no way a team with Duncan, Parker, Ginobili and Maggette is gonna go through offensive droughts..

LA is the best team in the West, and this move would put us back on their level IMO..

Have to go with my Rockets, we need a third scorer here, and he fits that role perfectly, especially with the way he likes to slash to the rim.

I actually think San Antonio needs him the most and needs to pursue him very hard.

I mean, sure, SA needs him, but with Ginobili there are teams that have worse holes on the wings.

I'd like to see him go to Portland. They need an upgrade at SF, and he would be a nice veteran influence too.

What team would help MAGGETTE the most. Not Magz help the team.

No other team comes close to offering what SA would for his career. He should go there. He can fill a vital role for them and be a starter on a championship team as well as get his due for his offensive talents [he's strong enough to bump with LeBron in the future too].

Only reason he wouldn't is for above MLE offer from a poor team.

SA with Maggette would be scary. They have everything but an athletic guy who can slash.

EDIT: also I think that an elite coach like Pop would be the perfect guy to take Mags to the next level.

Spurs. They needed scoring and youth (well, Maggette is reasonably young). He would be the perfect fit there but Pop might pop a vein when Maggs screws up on D all the time.

1) Orlando - He'd be a slasher on a team of shooters, and a shooting guard on a team that lacks depth and talent at the position. Also, he already has a house in Orlando, his parents live and attend church in Orlando, and he avoids income tax by living in Florida. This really is the perfect fit for Corey.

2) New Orleans - The Hornets don't need him, but the Chris Paul factor would give him a chance to score some easy points

3) Houston - When the injury bug hits, he'd be able to take a premier role on the team. And the injury bug always hits.

4) Boston - If Posey leaves, he assumes his duty, and as Ray Allen declines, he takes his place in the big three

5) Utah - He likes the city and Sloan, and they like him back. It was Utah that Maggette signed with last time he was a FA, and the Clippers ended up matching.

6) Detroit - Youth and talent on an aging basketball team. This would allow for the Stones to compete for another several seasons before their (likely brief) rebuilding period

7) San Antonio - This really is not an ideal fit for Corey at all. Ginobili will demand most of the SG minutes, and the starting SF spot will not be denied to Bruce Bowen, at least in the short term. In several seasons, Maggette could become part of the team's core, but by then the Spurs will be more or less irrelevant in the chase for the trophy.

He would have no problems getting minutes in San Antonio. The Spurs would love to limit Manu's minutes. Maggette's natural, ideal position is SF. Bruce Bowen ends up sliding over to the 2-guard position with ease. Parker handles the ball 99.9% of the time anyway. Bowen generally guards the opposing team's SG anyway (Kobe, Wade, etc.) There's no reason to be believe Manu will be starting again after having such success last season off the bench with career highs. Maggette will get at least 30-35+ minutes a night, no problem.
