If he doesn't accept the vet min, he might find himself sitting all season. Remember he would still be getting paid by NY. This is just bonus money.

Why is that? The issue with Hughes was that he really wasn't that good of a shooter and his injuries made it impossible for him to finish at the rim. Marbury is definitely me first, but that's not necessarily a bad thing for the Cavs.

Oh yeah, personally I think that the Marbury/LeBron spat was bigger on here than it ever was between them.

Marbury isn't a much better shooter then hughes. Living in NJ, I've watched a ton of net and knick games, Marbury needs the ball in his hands and he needs to shoot/take it to the basket. He also has a tendency to try and "take over" games at times when his team is behind and likes to jack up rediculous shots in those situations. His game just doesn't fit with Lebron.

I agree with you though about the Marbury/Lebron "fued". Honestly, I think most of those so called "bad blood" things are largely media driven. You really have to take all of that with a grain of salt.

He would still be among the top 3 players in terms of salary, so I don't see why he wouldn't accept a low salary for one year.

I would seriously take the Lakers out of that list. Why in the hell would we want Marbury?

I also don't know why people keep saying the cavs. He's a terrible fit next to lebron. Possibly a worse fit then Hughes.

The only reason why it would be a bad fit is because of the shoe thing with Lebron. Other than that, he would fit in well with the Cavs.

I'm a Knick fan and I don't want Marbury on my team. Simply because I want the Knicks to move on from the Isiah era. With that said, I do wish him the best and I think he can thrive in the right situation.

Cavs is perfect for him. They're not so much a run and gun team and Lebron would get Marbury tons of open shots. Marbury hits open shots and can penetrate. The Cavs also have Big Z. Big Z is perfect for the pick and roll. Marbury is a PG that can run the pick and roll with the best of them. Remember Kurt Thomas. When he was on the Knicks, that was their bread and butter. Knicks won some games just by overkilling that pick and roll with Kurt. But we had to trade Kurt away because off the court, he and Steph hated each other's guts.

Cavs is the perfect team for Marbury. He can raise his value there and finally be a winner. That is if he doesn't become a distraction off the court.

san antonio would be a dream opportunity for this guy to get his reputation and his career back on track. he's a definite upgrade over damon stoudamire and jacque vaughn.

Paying Marbury 21 million dollars and asking him to live up to that is a huge risk..giving him the MLE and asking him to be as good as Duhon or Udrih is not that big a risk.

Do people really think that the Knicks suck mostly because of Marbury's off court issues? Becuase he does interviews high as hell? Because hes a "cancer" and "not a winner"?

They suck because they pay an above average PG 21 million dollars a year...Marbury
They suck because they have a Fat Center that averages 5 rebounds a game...Curry
They suck because they are the fourth worst 3pt shooting team....
They suck because theyre the Worst shot-blocking team in the league....

I can go on...

Yes Marbury would be terrific in Italy.
