Man that's crazy, he makes Shaq look like a little kid in that picture. If I were that big I would have played basketball. IMO, being over 7'0" automatically makes you eligable to be a good player, you just gotta really work hard at your game depending on your athleticism and other attributes. Some big men like Andris Biedrins and Adonal Foyle started playing basketball sometime during their high school years, and even with little experience they were able to make the NBA, especially Biedrins who got drafted right after turning 18.
That guy would have easily been the biggest player in the NBA, it's just a matter of him being able to run, catch a ball, have good reflexes, etc; would have been a decent backup center in the league if he were able to recognize plays. He could have been a much bigger and larger version of DJ Mbenga: not really super athletic, but a big body to guard the paint.. not much offensive game, but can do the little things to help.

Yeah, I've seen that pic many times before. What's even more amazing than how large he looks next to Shaq (I'd estimate he's at least 7'5.5"/360 pounds) is the size of his hand -- look at that thing! He looks like he could disembowl Shaq with one hand.

"Let me introduce you to Calvin Lane a man who towers over most people you will ever meet standing 7'6" and weighing over 400 pounds."
"Born in a small town in East Texas, his father was 7'8"and his mother is 5'3"."
"In fact, he is a black belt in Karate and taught soldiers in the Marine Corps for four years. As an amateur boxer won all fifteen of his fights by knockout. He easily bench-presses his own weight of 400 pounds. Calvin has a massive 62" chest, a 46" waist, 24" biceps and shoe size 25-EEE."
wow...
