I don't know - robber barons come to mind when I hear the word Baron - maybe not what they want to be known by - how about the Dusters? the symbol could be a cowboy in a duster, like they wore in The Long Riders

It's probably been posted already but it seems like the big rumor now is that they will be called Oklahoma City Barons. I like the name but I agree with everyone else that the move is not going to be very succesful, I really don't see them gathering much of a fan base in Oklahoma City. What stadium would they use? Or is there plans for one in the works?

Seats about 20k, which is pretty good for the NBA. Ford Center would also work well with the OKC Pickups.

Honestly, I'm sure Oklahoma City is a nice enough place, and it's no worse off in terms of population/media market as some cities. One thing that should be noted is that OKC has a major advantage of limited competition; besides Oklahoma State, there aren't any other teams to compete with it for the attention of the locals. It's not quite Green Bay or Edmonton, but still, if it monopolizes local attention it will do great.
