How many possible picks will have next year?
So... We have the 2 second rounders from Miami. Do we have our own second rounder as well? How many possible first rounders? 3?

Re: How many possible picks will have next year?
Our own 2nd goes to Detroit (for Dupree eons ago).
Wolves will have Boston's first (assuming it's not top three). They'll have their own first if it's top 10. They'll have Miami's first if it's NOT top 10. If there's a first involved in this Sixers deal, they might have that, too.

Re: How many possible picks will have next year?
With the moves we are making I think we end up with one first and a second. With it looking like a weak draft if we lose our pick to the Clips I can see a scenario that packages our other picks together to move up. jmo

I think McHale is attempting to acquire every pick in next years draft.

Re: How many possible picks will have next year?
I forgot all about Miami's first. So we could possibly have 4 first rounders and 2/3 second rounders?
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

Re: How many possible picks will have next year?
I finally found what the two second round picks are:
deeney's got the potential three picks right, and it's possible we'd have zero (MIN, MIA, BOS). A Philly pick would be a 4th. A guy on the Trade Board wanted Carney in TOR for a protected 1st too.
I say, grab every first round pick, and sort it out later!
two 2009 second round picks (least favorable two of 76ers, Heat, Pacers) (?-?) (?-?), $2M cash on 2008-06-26

If we were to grab every first rounder the Blazers will find a way to take them all from us so why bother?

Grab every 1st rd and then package them to move up for for a vet. woot-woot. Numerous picks is the way to go. Worked for portland. (that and oden luck)

With 11-12 million in expiring contracts and 4 first round picks, I'm wondering if we pull in an impact veteran before the trade deadline. And if we can, should we?

I still want to make sure we know what we have on the team right now. So going for a high impact vet does not sound good to me.

Depends on what's out there at the deadline.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

It was a joke. You know, like when everyone else in this thread made the same joke...
Thanks for the clarification on the virtually impossible outcome that everyone knew though.

It sounded nice Funk, until you insert the players...lol

Ha. we would have every pick in the draft, and still manage to choose wrong.

Re: How many possible picks will have next year?
I don't think anyone has mentioned the 2nd rounder we got for Gerald Green yet, so...yeah. That's 2009, right?
So we have:
1st rounders:
ours if it's top 10
Miami's if it's NOT top 10
Boston's because it won't be top 3
Philly's (or Utah's depending on what we are getting) with some unknown protection
2nd rounders
the bottom 2 of Miami, Indiana and Philly
Houston's
So we have:
1st rounders:
ours if it's top 10
Miami's if it's NOT top 10
Boston's because it won't be top 3
Philly's (or Utah's depending on what we are getting) with some unknown protection

Thriving on mediocrity since '89.

Oden because the Blazers are 0-42 after he returned into lineup to ruin all kinds of chemistry
