Who do we make a run at now?

Childress or Pietrus would be worth the full mle. I suppose I like the idea of splitting it between Bonzi and LIvingston as a backup plan, but I like the first two guys a whole lot better.

I'd love to get Childress, but I also would not making a run at splitting the MLE between Livingston/Azubuike/Wells/Posey and a big like Morris/Harrison/Brown/Turiaf/Thomas. Those are big I think could help out, and if you look at the minutes both Harrison and Morris did play for their respective teams their numbers were decent for the time they were seeing.

There was an interview with Pat Ewing recently. He stated that we should expect big things out of Gortat and Augustine. I guess my question is does anyone think someone like P.J. Brown or Kurt Thomas would help these guys out as well?

I still believe we should make a run for Pietrus or Childress.

not at the cost of a contract or two and 2 future 1st round picks...which is what Seattle wanted for him...Otis definitely wants him here, this was even reiterated recently...just not in the press...

GM Smith is reported today to state that after Maggette and Dooling are signed or not, the next issue will be a back-up PG. Then (as in forth issue to consider), the Magic will look to see what bigs are left. What effect this has on Thomas coming to Florida is unknown. But one could not favor him based on this order of contractual issues to resolve.

I'm with spine on Childress or Pietrus, I don't like them as much as I did a couple years ago but damn, they have talent and (best case scenario) would greatly improve the overall roster.
