You don't know what the hell you are talking about. The qualifying offer is only his salary if he doesn't get an extension. Since Smith and Childress would be signing an extension their contract would kick in this year. The reason that Paul's extension wouldn't kick in this season is because he's only in his third year and has one more year on his rookie contract before it kicks in.

no. wrong. not even close. their salary would be the QO next year if they turn down their extensions and accept the one year tender. if they agree to the new contract, the new salary replaces the QO for next season. you obviously are not very well versed in these kinds of things. check out this site for a bit more info on how these kinds of things work:

i hope he stays in atl next year. with an improving al horford, at least a 16/8 smith and if joe plays like he did after the allstar game then we should get 6th seed in east.

On the brightside we get to see if Chris Kaman is the real deal now. He was very impressive in the limited action I got to see of him, but at least I have still have some question marks about how...

It's also going to be interesting to see what happens with Baron Davis now, do the Clippers still sign him? Does he still want to go to the Clippers (most likely yes^)?

There aren't any other teams that really have the big bucks to give to Davis that the Clippers do so I'm pretty confident Baron still wants to be a Clipper for financial reasons...

2) I assume you mean Acie Law, not A.C. Law?
3) Acie Law is cr*p, and has essentially no PG skills - he will never be the starting PG of any team, not even the lowly Hawks
