GSW didnt overpay Maggette and Turiaf

I know Maggette has been reported to sign a 5 yr 50m contract but sources are now correcting themselves, his contract his more likely 5m for 35m. At 6-7m p.a. average, he is a bargain

Turiaf at 4m isnt that bad.....He hustles and gives his all.

For 10m, GSW signed Maggette and Turiaf, IMO thats pretty good

Plus, GSW still have 10m to spend without going over the luxury even if they sign Ellis and Biedrins to big contracts.

Regardless of whether they overpaid Maggette or not, I don't see where he fits at the moment. However, the offseason is not even close to over, so I ahve to assume that Mullin will somehow unclog the logjam on the wings.

Comeon...he fills the void that Richardson left. That team took a big hit when he left. If Ellis can distribute more and balance that with his scoring that team will be better b/c unlike Baron...Monta attacks every chance he gets.

I Don't agree with the Turiaf signing but he fits their team. He provides great finishing and can run the floor and they don't have to give up rebounding and shot blocking. Their starting lineup of probably Beidrins/Turiaf/Jax/Maggette/Ellis is an excellent one that fits the way they play extremely well b/c they still have the up tempo offense but they have better rebounding and interior defense.

I guess Turiaf is fully healthy after the open-heart surgery since he's going to the most uptempo offense in the league.

He didn`t sign with GS for 6-7 million per year. That would be ridiculous! He would get practically the same money if he signed with the spurs, celtics or any other contender for the MLE...
