I heard the clippers offer was just one million short of the sixers offer.

Brand sold out.

Yeah, Brand did a big Falk You to the Clippers. Falk is known to Falk over teams. Great agent for a the player I guess, just not so Falk'n great for the teams.

Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

Plus everyone's forgetting the fact that Brand's family lives in NYC and that the Sixers without Brand are better than the Clippers without Brand. So overall you have:

1) More money.
2) Closer to your family.
3) The Eastern Conference.
4) A better team with better expectations.

AND they dissed you.

Falk is a powerhouse, a true genius when it comes to getting his players known and paid. Got to give him his dues, he's a cutthroat agent, and he's very smart...it's harsh water out there...you should never try and supersede a guy like him...

Why didn't the Clippers make that offer initially, or the moment GSW made a higher offer? They are a douche employer. I've worked for companies like that before. They lowball lowball and lowball more, trying to take advantage of you.

when a smart employer wants you, they just make you the good offer, no ifs ands or buts about it. I just went through a job change myself and yes Virginia, companies like those exist, more than you think. They realize, you make money because of what your employees are giving you. Keeping employees happy = better results from them.

I know, exactly, and it's frustrating that the fans and the media are going to make Brand the bad-guy in this situation. Donald Sterling never really changed. He will go down as the worst owner in history.

IF Brand indeed opted out and asked for the Clips to get an all star player inbound, and the Clips renounced his Bird Rights to sign Baron Davis, per Brand's request, and Brand bails - then how can you not be bitter and blame Brand?

Again, this is assuming the IF Is correct above, but if it is, then Brand is indeed a total arse.

On the flip side, if the IF above is incorrect, then Brand did nothing no other player would not have done - left for a team close to home for more money.
